where they burn? What an evil place to stay!
جَهَنَّمَۚ يَصْلَوْنَهَاۜ وَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ
Cehennem, yaslevneha, ve bi'sel karar.
Hell to burn in, an evil place to stay-
جَهَنَّمَۚ يَصْلَوْنَهَاۚ فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
Cehennem, yaslevneha, fe bi'sel mihad.
So this is the Fire that you were warned against.
هٰذِه۪ جَهَنَّمُ الَّت۪ي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
Hazihi cehennemulleti kuntum tuadun.
This is the Hell the guilty deny,
هٰذِه۪ جَهَنَّمُ الَّت۪ي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَۢ
Hazihi cehennemulleti yukezzibu bi hel mucrimun.
Hell lies in wait,
اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَاداًۙ
İnne cehenneme kanet mirsada.
Such people will have Hell for their home and will find no escape from it,
اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ مَأْوٰيهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ عَنْهَا مَح۪يصاً
Ulaike me'vahum cehennemu ve la yecidune anha mahisa.
except that of Hell, where they will remain for ever- this is easy for God.
اِلَّا طَر۪يقَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَٓا اَبَداًۜ وَكَانَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَس۪يراً
İlla tarika cehenneme halidine fiha ebeda. Ve kane zalike alallahi yesira.
Hell will be their resting place and their covering, layer upon layer- this is how We punish those who do evil.
لَهُمْ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍۜ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِم۪ينَ
Lehum min cehenneme mihadun ve min fevkıhim gavaş ve kezalike necziz zalimin.
Hell awaits each one; he will be given foul water to drink,
مِنْ وَرَٓائِه۪ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقٰى مِنْ مَٓاءٍ صَد۪يدٍۙ
Min veraihi cehennemu ve yuska min main sadid.
Hell is the promised place for all these,
وَاِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ اَجْمَع۪ينَۙ
Ve inne cehenneme le mev'ıduhum ecmain.
so enter the gates of Hell. There you will remain- the home of the arrogant is evil indeed.’
فَادْخُلُٓوا اَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۜ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّر۪ينَ
Fedhulu ebvabe cehenneme halidine fiha fe lebi'se mesvel mutekebbirin.
We shall show Hell to the disbelievers,
وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْكَافِر۪ينَ عَرْضاًۙ
Ve aradna cehenneme yevmeizin lil kafirine arda.
Their recompense for having disbelieved and made fun of My messages and My messengers will be Hell.
ذٰلِكَ جَزَٓاؤُ۬هُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُٓوا اٰيَات۪ي وَرُسُل۪ي هُزُواً
Zalike cezauhum cehennemu bima keferu vettehazu ayati ve rusuli huzuva.
and drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell,
وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِم۪ينَ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْداًۢ
Ve nesukul mucrimine ila cehenneme virda.
But those who reject the truth will stay in Hellfire, where they will neither be finished off by death, nor be relieved from Hell’s torment: this is how We reward hardened disbelievers.
وَالَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَۚ لَا يُقْضٰى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِهَاۜ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْز۪ي كُلَّ كَفُورٍۚ
Vellezine keferu lehum naru cehennem, la yukda aleyhim fe yemutu ve la yuhaffefu anhum min azabiha, kezalike neczi kulle kefur.
I will fill Hell with you and all those that follow you.’
لَاَمْلَـَٔنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكَ وَمِمَّنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ اَجْمَع۪ينَ
Le emleenne cehenneme minke ve mimmen tebiake minhum ecmain.
Those who rejected the Truth will be led to Hell in their throngs. When they arrive, its gates will open and its keepers will say to them, ‘Were you not sent your own messengers to recite the revelations of your Lord to you and warn you that you would meet this Day?’ and they will say, ‘Yes indeed we were.’ But the sentence of punishment will have been passed against those who rejected the truth.
وَس۪يقَ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُٓوا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَراًۜ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَٓاؤُ۫هَا فُتِحَتْ اَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُـهَٓا اَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِنْكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ اٰيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَٓاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَاۜ قَالُوا بَلٰى وَلٰكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِر۪ينَ
Vesikallezine keferu ila cehenneme zumera, hatta iza cauha futihat ebvabuha, ve kale lehum hazenetuha e lem ye'tikum rusulun minkum yetlune aleykum ayati rabbikum ve yunzirunekum likae yevmikum haza, kalu bela ve lakin hakkat kelimetul azabi alel kafirin.
It will be said, ‘Enter the gates of Hell: there you will remain. How evil is the abode of the arrogant!’
ق۪يلَ ادْخُلُٓوا اَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۚ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّر۪ينَ
Kiledhulu ebvabe cehenneme halidine fiha, fe bi'se mesvel mutekebbirin.
Enter the gates of Hell, there to remain- an evil home for the arrogant.’
اُدْخُلُٓوا اَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۚ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّر۪ينَ
Udhulu ebvabe cehenneme halidine fiha, fe bi'se mesvel mutekebbirin.
But the evildoers will remain in Hell’s punishment,
اِنَّ الْمُجْرِم۪ينَ ف۪ي عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَۚ
İnnel mucrimine fi azabi cehenneme halidun.
Hell lurks behind them and their gains will not benefit them, nor will those beings they took as protectors beside God––a tremendous torment awaits them.
مِنْ وَرَٓائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُۚ وَلَا يُغْن۪ي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا شَيْـٔاً وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ اَوْلِيَٓاءَۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظ۪يمٌۜ
Min veraihim cehennem, ve la yugni anhum ma kesebu şey'en ve la mattehazu min dunillahi evliyae, ve lehum azabun azim.
‘Hurl every obstinate disbeliever into Hell,
اَلْقِيَا ف۪ي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَن۪يدٍۙ
Elkıya fi cehenneme kulle keffarin anidin.
We shall say to Hell on that day, ‘Are you full?’ and it will reply, ‘Are there no more?’
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَز۪يدٍ
Yevme nekulu li cehenneme helimtele'ti ve tekulu hel min mezidin.
when Hell is that Day brought near- on that Day man will take heed, but what good will that be to him then?
وَج۪ٓيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىۜ
Ve cie yevmeizin bi cehenneme yevmeizin yetezekkerul insanu ve enna lehuz zikra.
this is only a brief enjoyment, after which Hell will be their home- a miserable resting place!
مَتَاعٌ قَل۪يلٌ ثُمَّ مَأْوٰيهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۜ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
Metaun kalilun summe me'vahum cehennem, ve bi'sel mihad.
We have created many jinn and people who are destined for Hell, with hearts they do not use for comprehension, eyes they do not use for sight, ears they do not use for hearing. They are like cattle, no, even further astray: these are the ones who are entirely heedless.
وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَث۪يراً مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِۘ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَاۘ وَلَهُمْ اَعْيُنٌ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَاۘ وَلَهُمْ اٰذَانٌ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَاۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ كَالْاَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ اَضَلُّۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ
Ve lekad zere'na li cehenneme kesiren minel cinni vel insi lehum kulubun la yefkahune biha ve lehum a'yunun la yubsırune biha ve lehum azanun la yesmeune biha, ulaike kel en'ami bel hum edallu, ulaike humul gafilun.
on the Day it is heated up in Hell’s Fire and used to brand their foreheads, sides, and backs, they will be told, ‘This is what you hoarded up for yourselves! Now feel the pain of what you hoarded!’
يَوْمَ يُحْمٰى عَلَيْهَا ف۪ي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوٰى بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْۜ هٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ
Yevme yuhma aleyha fi nari cehenneme fe tukva biha cibahuhum ve cunubuhum ve zuhuruhum, haza ma keneztum li enfusikum fe zuku ma kuntum teknizun.
God promises the Fire of Hell as a permanent home for the hypocrites, both men and women, and the disbelievers: this is enough for them. God rejects them and a lasting punishment awaits them.
وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْمُنَافِق۪ينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۜ هِيَ حَسْبُهُمْۚ وَلَعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُق۪يمٌۙ
Vaadallahul munafikine vel munafikati vel kuffare nare cehenneme halidine fiha hiye hasbuhum, ve leanehumullah ve lehum azabun mukim .
God said, ‘Go away! Hell will be your reward, and the reward of any of them who follow you- an ample reward.
قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ فَاِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَٓاؤُ۬كُمْ جَزَٓاءً مَوْفُوراً
Kalezheb fe men tebiake minhum fe inne cehenneme cezaukum cezaen mevfura.
It is those driven, on their faces,to Hell who will be in the worst place- they are the furthest from the right path.
اَلَّذ۪ينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلٰى وُجُوهِهِمْ اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَۙ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكَاناً وَاَضَلُّ سَب۪يلاً۟
Ellezine yuhşerune ala vucuhihim ila cehenneme ulaike şerrun mekanen ve edallu sebila.
