When the messengers had come to them from before them and from after them: “Serve not save God,” they said: “If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down angels, so we are deniers of that wherewith you have been sent.”

When the Messengers came to them from in front and from behind, saying, ‘Do not worship anyone but Allah. ’ they said, ‘If our Lord had willed, He could have sent angels down, so we reject the Message you have been sent with.’
When the messengers came to them, publicly and privately: "You shall not serve except God. " They said: "Had our Lord willed, He would have sent Angels. We are rejecting what you have been sent with."
Behold, the Messengers came unto them in their former and latter generations, saying, "Serve none but Allah!" They replied, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down angels. This is it, behold, we are disbelievers in what you (claim) are sent with."

Lo! There came unto them apostles, speaking of what lay open before them and what was beyond their ken, "Worship none but God!" They answered: “If our Sustainer had willed , He would have sent down angels . As it is, behold, we deny that there is any truth in what you have been sent with!”
When their messengers came unto them from before them and behind them, saying: Worship none but Allah! they said: If our Lord had willed, He surely would have sent down angels (unto us), so lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent.
When the Messengers (of Allah) came to them from the front and from the rear,* saying: "Do not serve any but Allah"; they said: “Had our Lord so willed, He would have sent down angels. So we deny the Message you have brought.”*
Their Messengers, who were spectacles and warnings, approached them from every angle and left no stone unturned advising them to worship no one but Allah, but they counselled deaf and said: "Had Allah, our Creator, willed us to discern divine truths, He would have sent down angels; therefore we utterly refuse to acknowledge your messages".
Their Prophets tried in every way to make them understand that: "You should worship none but God"; they (jokingly) said: “If God really wanted , He would have sent us angles; we do not believe in what you say.
When the Messengers came to them, from before them and behind them (saying): "Worship none but Allâh", they said: "If our Lord had so willed, He would surely have sent down the angels. So indeed we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."
Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)."
The messengers had come to them from all angles, ˹proclaiming,˺ "Worship none but Allah." They responded, “Had our Lord willed, He could have easily sent down angels ˹instead˺. So we totally reject what you have been sent with.”

As the Messengers came to them from before them (Literally: from between their hands) and from behind them, (saying), "Do not worship anyone except Allah ", they said, "If our Lord had (so) decided, indeed He would have sent down Angels; so surely we are disbelievers in what you have been sent with. "
When the apostles came unto them before them and behind them, saying, worship God alone; they answered, if our Lord had been pleased to send messengers, He had surely sent angels: And we believe not the message with which ye are sent.
When the messengers came to them, from before them and (from) behind them, (teaching) "Worship no one but Allah. " They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would surely have sent down angels (to teach us): So, indeed we disbelieve in that with which you are sent. "
When the Messengers (of God) came to them (successively) from before them and from behind them (- from all directions with the teaching) `Worship none but Allâh. ' They said, `If Allâh had willed (to send Messengers), He would certainly have sent angels. So we are indeed disbelievers in that (teachings) with which you have been sent.'
When the apostles came to them, before them and in their own time, saying, ‘Worship no one except Allah!’ They said, ‘Had our Lord wished, He would certainly have sent down angels . We indeed disbelieve in what you have been sent with.’
