93. Surah Ad-Duhaa
The Morning Hours

In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.

Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem

By the morning light!

Wadduha

And by the night when it shrouds in darkness!

Wallayli itha saja

Thy Lord has neither forsaken nor loathed thee.

Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala

And the latter will be better for thee than the former.

Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka minaal-oola

And thy Lord will give to thee, and thou wilt be satisfied.

Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda

Did He not find thee fatherless, and give shelter,

Alam yajidka yateeman faawa

And find thee astray, and guide,

Wawajadaka dallan fahada

And find thee in need, and make sufficient?

Wawajadaka AAa-ilan faaghna

Then as for the fatherless: oppress thou not.

Faamma alyateema fala taqhar

And as for the petitioner: repel thou not.

Waamma assa-ila falatanhar

And as for the favour of thy Lord: recount thou!

Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith
