And what is with you that you spend not in the cause of God, when to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you is he who spent and who fought before the victory — those are greater in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to each has God promised the best; and God is aware of what you do.

And how is it with you that you do not give in the Way of Allah, when the inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah? Those of you who gave and fought before the Victory are not the same as those who gave and fought afterwards. They are higher in rank. But to each of them Allah has promised the Best. Allah is aware of what you do.
And why do you not spend in the cause of God, when God possesses all wealth in the heavens and the Earth Not equal among you are those who spent before the victory and fought. They attained a greater rank than those who spent after the victory and fought. And for each, God promises goodness. And God is Expert in everything you do.
And why should you not spend in the Cause of Allah when to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those who spend and fight before the victory are not at the same level as the rest of you. They have a greater rank than those who spend and fight after the victory. Unto each Allah has promised good. He is Aware of what you do. (55:62), (56:8-12).

What has come upon you that you do not spend in the way of God, when the heritage of the heavens and the earth belongs to God? Those of you who spent before the victory and fought, are not equal (to those who did not). They are higher in position than those who spent after (the victory) and fought. To each one God has made the promise of excellence, for God is aware of all you do.
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest and fought . Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best . And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.
And why should you not spend freely in the cause of God, seeing that God’s is the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal are those of you who spent and fought before the Victory : they are of a higher rank than those who would spend and fight after it - although God has promised the ultimate good to all . and god is aware of that you do.
And what aileth you that ye spend not in the way of Allah when unto Allah belongeth the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent and fought before the victory are not upon a level (with the rest of you). Such are greater in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Unto each hath Allah promised good. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.
How is it that you do not expend in the Way of Allah when to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth?* Those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting before the Victory cannot be equated (with those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting afterwards). They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards.* But to each Allah has promised a good reward. Allah is well aware of all that you do.*
And why should you not spend in the cause of Allah and you recoil back as though you fear you may be reduced to penury when you know that Allah is He who has the Absolute rightful claim to the heavens and the earth and the only heir to the heavens and the earth. Those of you who spent and strove in the cause of Allah before the conquest of Macca where the faithful were few and conditions unfavourable, are not like those who spent thereafter when the gates of Faith opened and most people came in Those who spent before the conquest are a step higher in the scale of dignity, rank and reward than those who spent thereafter, But both has Allah promised good will and efficacious grace, and Allah is Khabirun (well acquainted with all that you do.)
What is wrong with you that you do not spend money for charity to please your Lord? Are you afraid of poverty while you are pleasing the One Who owns the whole wealth of the universe and is the One Who provides you with wealth at first place? Do not you know that you can not take anything with you and that God eventually will inherit whatever you were afraid to spend a part of with to please Him? Those of you who spend a part of their money in charity before becoming rich and fight before victory are not equal to those who spend a part of their money after becoming rich and show their willingness in fight after victory! Although both are entitled to the reward, yet the formers are necessarily higher in rank than the latter. God is aware of whatever you do (and sees who has performed what deeds, under what kind of circumstances, and with what intention).
And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allâh? And to Allâh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah, with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all Allâh has promised the best (reward). And Allâh is All-Aware of what you do.
And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.
And why should you not spend in the cause of Allah, while Allah is the ˹sole˺ inheritor of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who donated and fought before the victory ˹over Mecca˺ are unparalleled. They are far greater in rank than those who donated and fought afterwards. Yet Allah has promised each a fine reward. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
And what is wrong with you that you should not spend in the way of Allah, while to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent before the Conquest (of Makkah) and fought are not at par (with others). Those are much greater in rank than those who spent later and fought, though Allah has promised the good (reward) for each. Allah is well aware of what you do.
Why should you not give for God’s cause when God alone will inherit what is in the heavens and earth? Those who gave and fought before the triumph are not like others: they are greater in rank than those who gave and fought afterwards. But God has promised a good reward to all of them: God is fully aware of all that you do.
How is it with you, that you expend not in the way of God, and to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal is he among you who spent, and who fought before the victory; those are mightier in rank than they who spent and fought afterwards; and unto each God has promised the reward most fair; and God is aware of the things you do.
What ails you that ye give not alms in God's cause? for God's is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Not alike amongst you is he who gives alms before the victory and fights, - they are grander in rank than those who give alms afterwards and fight. But to all does God promise good; and God of what ye do is well aware!
And what reason have you that you should not spend in Allah's way? For Allah's is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Not alike among you are those who spent and fought before the victory (and those who did not): they are more exalted in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised good; and Allah is Aware of what you do.
And how is it with you (Literally: what is it with you) that you do not expend in the way of Allah, and to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Not equal is he among you who spent even before the Conquest and fought; those are more magnificent in degree than they who spent even after (that) and fought; and to each Allah has promised the fairest reward; and Allah is Ever-Cognizant of whatever you do.
And what aileth you, that ye contribute not of your substance for the defence of God's true religion? Since unto God appertaineth the inheritance of heaven and earth. Those among you who shall have contributed and fought in defence of the faith, before the taking of Mecca, shall not be held equal with those who shall contribute and fight for the same afterwards. These shall be superiour in degree unto those who shall contribute and fight for the propagation of the faith after the abovementioned success: But unto all hath God promised a most excellent reward; and God well knoweth that which ye do.
And what reason do you have? Why you should not spend in the cause of Allah? And it is to Allah that belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought (the wars) before the Victory (of Makkah, with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought after (the Victory). But to all has Allah promised a best (reward). And Allah is familiar with all that you do.
What is wrong with you that you do not spend in the way of Allâh, for all that the heavens and the earth contain shall finally revert to Allâh. Those of you who spent and fought (in the cause of Allâh) before the Victory (of Hudaibiyah) cannot be equal (to those who joined the ranks later). They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards (after the truth had gained ground). Yet Allâh has promised a good reward to them all. Allâh is Well-Aware of what you do.
Why should you not spend in the way of Allah, while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal are those of you who spent and fought before the victory. They are greater in rank than those who have spent and fought afterwards. Yet Allah has promised the best reward to each and Allah is well aware of what you do.
