And warn thou mankind of a day the punishment will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: “Our Lord: delay Thou us for a short term: we will respond to Thy call and follow the messengers.” — “Did you not swear before that there would be no end for you?

Warn mankind of the Day when the punishment will reach them. Those who did wrong will say, ‘Our Lord, reprieve us for a short time. We will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers.’ ‘But did you not swear to Me before that you would never meet your downfall,
And warn mankind of the Day when the retribution will come to them, and those who were wicked will Say: "Our Lord, delay this for us until a short time, and we will heed your call and follow the messengers!" Did you not swear before this that you would last forever
Hence, warn mankind of the Day when this suffering may befall them, and every violator of the Divine Commands will long for a little more respite, saying, "Our Lord! Give us a little time. We will obey Your Message and follow the Messengers." The answer will be given, "Did you not use to swear before that there shall be no decline of status for you?"
And warn thou mankind of a day the punishment will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: “Our Lord: delay Thou us for a short term: we will respond to Thy call and follow the messengers.” — “Did you not swear before that there would be no end for you?
Andwarn the people of the Day when the retribution will come to them, and those who have been wicked will say: "Our Lord, delay this for us until a short time, and we will heed your call and follow the messengers!" Did you not swear before this that you would last forever?
Warn the people of the day when the retribution will come to them, and those who were wicked will say, "Our Lord, delay this for us until a short time, and we will respond to Your call and follow the messengers!" Did you not swear before this that you would last forever?
You shall warn the people of the day when the retribution comes to them. Those who transgressed will say, "Our Lord, give us one more respite. We will then respond to Your call and follow the messengers." Did you not swear in the past that you will last forever?
Warn the people of that Day when the punishment would be inflicted upon them. Then will the wicked say: "O our Lord, give us respite a while more. We shall heed Your call and follow the apostles." (But they will be told,): "Are you not those who used to swear: 'There is no reverse for us?'
And, , warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them and those who did wrong will say, "Our Lord, delay us for a short term; we will answer Your call and follow the messengers. " , "Had you not sworn, before, that for you there would be no cessation?
Hence, warn men of the Day when this suffering may befall them, and when those who did wrong will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Grant us respite for a short while, so that we might respond to Thy call and follow the apostles!" "Why - were you not aforetime wont to swear that no kind of resurrection and retribution awaited you?
And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you?
(O Muhammad), warn mankind of the Day when a severe chastisement shall overtake them, and the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while; we shall respond to Your call and will follow Your Messengers." (But they will be clearly told): "Are you not the same who swore earlier that they shall never suffer decline?"
Therefore, warn people O Muhammad of the Day when they are overtaken by Allah's retributive punishment, then the wrongful of actions shall say: "O Allah our Creator, if only You would delay our condemnation to punishment for a term close at hand, we will apprehend the voice from heaven and be in purpose and follow the Messengers" But they shall be told: "Did you not swear before that you shall never suffer loss nor any change in disposition neither in life nor Hereafter. "
Let them know that there will be a Day when they have to face their punishment. Those who have been unjust will beg: "Our Lord, give just a little more time so that we respond to your Message and follow your Messengers." They will be responded: “Are you not the same people who used to swear that there is no such thing as punishment?”
And warn (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) mankind of the Day when the torment will come unto them; then the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord! Respite us for a little while, we will answer Your Call and follow the Messengers!" (It will be said): "Had you not sworn aforetime that you would not leave (the world for the Hereafter).
So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline?
And warn the people of the Day when the punishment will overtake ˹the wicked among˺ them, and the wrongdoers will cry, "Our Lord! Delay us for a little while. We will respond to Your call and follow the messengers!" ˹It will be said,˺ “Did you not swear before that you would never be removed ˹to the next life˺?”
Warn the people of a day when punishment will come upon them, and the wrongdoers will say, "Our Lord, give us respite for a short term, and we will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers." (Allah will say), “Is it not that you had sworn oaths earlier that you would not have to leave (the world)?
So warn people of the Day when punishment will come to them, and when the disbelievers will say, ‘Our Lord, give us a little more time: we shall answer Your call and follow the messengers.’ Did you not swear in the past that your power would have no end?
And warn mankind of the day when the chastisement comes on them, And those who did evil shall say, 'Our Lord, defer us to a near term, and we will answer Thy call, and follow the Messengers. ' 'Ah, but did you not swear aforetime there should be no removing for you?
and warn men of the day when the torment shall come! And those who have done wrong shall say, 'O our Lord! respite us until an appointed time nigh at hand, and we will respond to Thy call, and follow the apostles!' - 'What! did ye not swear before, ye should have no decline?'
And warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath shall reach them: then those who have done wrong shall say, "O our Lord! Respite us for a short term longer, and we will respond to Thy call, and follow the Messengers!" - "What! Did you not used to swear before that you should suffer no decline?"
And warn mankind of the Day when the torment will come up to them. Then the ones who did (an) injustice will say, "Our Lord, defer us to a near term, (then) we will answer Your Call and closely follow the Messengers." (But) did you not swear earlier that in no way will you (face) extinction?
Wherefore do thou threaten men with the day, whereon their punishment shall be inflicted on them, and whereon those who have acted unjustly shall say, O Lord, give us respite unto a term near at hand; and we will obey thy call, and we will follow thy apostles. But it shall be answered unto them, did ye not swear heretofore, that no reverse should befall you?
And warn mankind of the Day when the Anger (and Punishment) will reach them: Then the wrongdoers will say: "O Lord! Grant some relief to us (even) for a little while: We will come back to Your Call, and follow (Your) messengers!" (The reply will be:) "What! Were you not used to swearing before that you will not leave (this world for the Hereafter).
Warn these people of the day when the (threatened) punishment overtakes them, and those who are unjust will say, `Our Lord! grant us respite for a short term, we will respond to Your call and follow the Messengers. ' (It will be said to them), `Did you not swear before now (that) you would never have a fall?
Warn the people of the day when the punishment will overtake them, whereat the wrongdoers will say, ‘Our Lord! Respite us for a brief while so that we may respond to Your call, and follow the apostles. ’ ‘Did you not use to swear earlier that there would be no reverse for you,
