And he said to him he knew would be delivered of the two: “Remember thou me before thy lord.” But the satan caused him to forget the mention to his lord; so he stayed in prison some years.

He said to the one of them he knew was saved, ‘Please mention me when you are with your lord,’ but Shaytan made him forget to remind his lord, and so he stayed in prison for several years.
And he said to the one whom he thought would be saved of them: "Mention me to your lord. " But the devil made him forget to mention to his lord, so He remained in prison for a few years.
Joseph asked the one whom he thought would be released, "Mention me in the presence of your King. " But, his selfish ways made him ignore to mention it to the King, so Joseph stayed in prison for a few years.

And he said unto him of the twain who he knew would be released: Mention me in the presence of thy lord. But Satan caused him to forget to mention it to his lord, so he (Joseph) stayed in prison for some years.
And Joseph said to the one of the two prisoners who he knew would be set free: "Mention me in your lord's presence." But Satan caused him to forget mentioning this to his lord (the ruler of Egypt) and so Joseph languished in prison for several years.
Then said he to the inmate whom he thought would be released: "Mention my name and my story, O fellow, to the king when you are in his presence. " But in the midst of the court he -the servant- yielded to the lower part of his nature which is guided by AL-Shaytan and forgot to mention to the king the story of his fellow prisoner. By consequence, Yusuf remained in confinement for a few years - said to be not less than three years-.
Then Joseph turned to the one whom he thought would be released and said: "When you are released, would you kindly mention my situation to the king? The Satan, however, made the man to forget everything (the same way that Satan makes people to forget good things that others have done for them and turns them into ungrateful people) and, consequently, Joseph stayed in the jail for a few more years (to learn that depending upon others than God, who are easily swayed by Satan, is fruitless and that only God can relieve the hardship that one faces with. )
And he said to the one whom he knew to be saved: "Mention me to your lord (i.e. your king, so as to get me out of the prison)." But Shaitân (Satan) made him forget to mention it to his Lord . So stayed in prison a few (more) years.
And of the two, to that one whom he consider about to be saved, he said: "Mention me to thy lord." But Satan made him forget to mention him to his lord: and (Joseph) lingered in prison a few (more) years.
Then he said to the one he knew would survive, "Mention me in the presence of your master." But Satan made him forget to mention Joseph to his master, so he remained in prison for several years.
And he (Yūsuf) said to the one whom he believed likely to be released out of the two, "Tell your master about me." Then, the Satan made him forget to tell his master. So, he (Yūsuf) remained in prison for a few years.
Joseph said to the one he knew would be saved, ‘Mention me to your master,’ but Satan made him forget to do this, and so Joseph remained in prison for a number of years.
Then he said to the one he deemed should be saved of the two, 'Mention me in thy lord's presence. ' But Satan caused him to forget to mention him to his master, so that he continued in the prison for certain years.
And he said to him whom he thought would escape of those two, 'Remember me with thy lord!' But Satan made him forget the remembrance of his lord, so he tarried in prison a few years.
O you two fellow-prisoners! As for one of you, he shall pour out wine for his lord to drink: and as for the other, he shall be crucified, and the birds shall eat from his head. Thus is the matter decreed whereof you did inquire."
And he said to the one of the two (that) he expected would be delivered, "Mention me in the presence of your lord. " (But) then Ash-Shaytan (The all-vicious (one), i.e., the Devil) caused him to forget mentioning (him to) his lord; so he lingered in the prison for several years.
And Joseph said unto him whom he judged to be the person who should escape of the two, remember me in the presence of thy lord. But the devil caused him to forget to make mention of Joseph unto his lord; wherefore he remained in the prison some years.
And of the two, to the one whom he considered ready to be saved, he (Yusuf) said: "Tell your lord (the king) about me. " But Satan made him forget to talk about him (Yusuf) to his lord (the king): And (Yusuf) stayed in prison for a few years.
And of the two, he knew to be the one who would be released, he said, `Mention me to your lord. ' But satan made him (-the released person) forget to mention (Joseph) to his lord so that he (- Joseph) remained confined in the prison for a few years.
Then he said to the one whom he knew would be delivered from among the two: ‘Mention me to your master. ’ But Satan caused him to forget mentioning to his master. So he remained in the prison for several years.
