“And whenever I called them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered themselves with their garments, and persisted, and waxed proudly insolent.

وَاِنّ۪ي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُٓوا اَصَابِعَهُمْ ف۪ٓي اٰذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَاَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَاراًۚ
