Those who ignore warning after their faith, then grow in denial, their repentance will not be accepted; and it is they who are those who go astray.

Those who become kafir after having iman and then increase in their kufr, their tawba will not be accepted. They are the misguided.
Those who have rejected after their belief then increased in rejection, their repentance will not be accepted, they are the strayers.
But those who reject belief after attaining belief and go on adding to their defiance, their repentance will not be accepted (4:18). They are traveling in the wrong direction, so they cannot reach the destination.

Verily, as for those who are bent on denying the truth after having attained to faith, and then grow in their refusal to acknowledge the truth, their repentance shall not be accepted: for it is they who have truly gone astray.
Lo! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. And such are those who are astray.
Those who relieved and have har-dened in their disbelief after once believing,* their (pretence to) repentance shall not be accepted. Indeed such men have altogether strayed.
Indeed those who deny Allah after they have recognized Him and be so bold as to display their infidelity by acts of sedition and hostility in defiance of piety, never shall their penitence be accepted, and these are they who have been lost in the maze of error.

Verily, those who disbelieved after their Belief and then went on increasing in their disbelief (i.e. disbelief in the Qur’ân and in Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) - never will their repentance be accepted . And they are those who are astray.
But those who reject Faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of Faith,- never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have (of set purpose) gone astray.

the repentance of those who, having believed, then increase in their disbelief, will not be accepted. They are the ones who have gone astray:
Surely those who disbelieve after they have believed and then increase in unbelief -- their repentance shall not be accepted; those are the ones who stray.
Verily, those who misbelieve after believing, and then increase in misbelief, their repentance shall not be accepted; these are those who err.
