And they hamstrung the she-camel; and they scorned the command of their Lord, saying: “O Ṣāliḥ: bring thou us what thou promisest us, if thou be among the emissaries.”

And they hamstrung the She-Camel, spurning their Lord’s command, and said, ‘Salih! Bring us what you have promised us if you are one of the Messengers. ’
They thus killed the camel and defied God's command, and they said: "O Saleh, bring us what you promised us if you are of the messengers!"

And then they cruelly slaughtered the she-camel and turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment, and said: "O Salih! Bring about that with which thou hast threatened us, if thou art truly one of God's message bearers!"
So they hamstrung the she-camel, and they flouted the commandment of their Lord, and they said: O Salih! Bring upon us that thou threatenest if thou art indeed of those sent (from Allah).
Then they hamstrung the she-camel,* disdainfuliy disobeyed the commandment of their Lord, and said: '0 Salih! Bring upon us the scourge with which you threatened us if you are truly a Messenger .'
They manifested repugnance and disabled the she - camel by cutting her hamstring muscles in opposition and disobedience to Allah's command and authority and they said to Saleh: "Now, let us see how you will bring to pass the catastrophe you threatened that heaven would inflict if indeed you are an Messenger sent by Allah!"
Then they defied the Lord's orders and killed the camel and mockingly said: "Well Saleh subject us to the punishment that you were talking about, if you are a true prophet. "
So they killed the she-camel and insolently defied the Commandment of their Lord, and said: "O Sâlih! Bring about your threats if you are indeed one of the Messengers (of Allâh)."
Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord, saying: "O Salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!"
Then they killed the she-camel—defying their Lord’s command—and challenged ˹Ṣâliḥ˺, "Bring us what you threaten us with, if you are ˹truly˺ one of the messengers."
Then they slaughtered the she-camel and defied the command of their Lord and said, "O SāliH, bring to us what you threaten us with, if you are one of the messengers.
and then they hamstrung the camel. They defied their Lord’s commandment and said, ‘Salih, bring down the punishment you threaten, if you really are a messenger!’

So they hamstrung the she-camel and rebelled against the Command of their Lord, and said, "O Salih, come up to us with what you promise us, in case you are one of the Emissaries. "
And they cut off the feet of the camel, and insolently transgressed the command of their Lord, and said, oh, cause that to come upon us, with which thou hast threatened us, if thou art one of those who have been sent by God.
Then they crippled (by cutting the hamstrings of) the she-camel, and proudly opposed the order of their Lord, saying: "O Sálih! Bring on your threats, if you are truly a messenger (of Allah)!"
So they hamstrung the she-camel and flouted the commandment of their Lord and said, `O Sâlih! bring down on us the punishment you used to threatens us with, if you are really one of the sent ones (by God). '
So they hamstrung the She-camel and defied the command of their Lord, and they said, ‘O Ṣāliḥ, bring us what you threaten us with, if you are one of the apostles. ’
