And that is Our argument We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise in degree whom We will; thy Lord is wise and knowing.

One judgement was deduced from another; that was the reasoning We imparted to Ibrahim to use against his people's contention. We raise whom We will to higher ranks and exalt them in dignity, wisdom and power. Allah, your Creator, is indeed Hakimun and 'Alimun.
Such was My reasoning relayed to them through Abraham. Thus I raise some to a higher level. Indeed your Lord is the Most Wise and the Most Knowledgeable
