And what is with you that you eat not of that over which the name of God has been remembered when He has set out and detailed to you what is forbidden you save that you be compelled thereto? And many lead astray by their vain desires, without knowledge; thy Lord: He best knows the transgressors.

What is the matter with you that you do not eat that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, when He has made clear to you what He has made haram for you except when you are forced to eat it? Many people lead themselves astray through their whims and desires without having any knowledge. Your Lord knows best those who overstep the limits.
And why should you not eat that on which God's name has been mentioned, when He has fully detailed to you what has been made forbidden; except what you are forced to Many misguide by their desires without knowledge; your Lord is fully aware of the transgressors.
Why should you not eat of that on which Allah's Name has been pronounced (i. e. it is not dedicated to other than Him)? He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden along with certain exceptions in dire need (5:3). Numerous of the clergy mislead people in this matter without knowledge, and with their personal opinions. Verily, your Lord is fully Aware of those who go beyond moderation.

And why should you not eat of that over which the name of God has been pronounced, when He has made it distinctly clear what is forbidden, unless you are constrained to do so. Surely many (men) mislead others into following their vain desires through lack of knowledge. Your Lord certainly knows the transgressors.
And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead astray through their inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.
And why should you not eat of that over which God's name has been pronounced, seeing that He has so clearly spelled out to you what He has forbidden you unless you are compelled ? But, behold, many people lead others astray by their own errant views, without knowledge. Verily, thy Sustainer is fully aware of those who transgress the bounds of what is right.
How should ye not eat of that over which the name of Allah hath been mentioned, when He hath explained unto you that which is forbidden unto you unless ye are compelled thereto. But lo! many are led astray by their own lusts through ignorance. Lo! thy Lord, He is Best Aware of the transgressors.
And how is it that you do not eat of that over which Allah's name has been pronounced even though He has clearly spelled out to you what He has forbidden you unless you are constrained to it?* Many indeed say misleading things without knowledge, driven merely by their lowly desires. But your Lord knows well the transgressors.
And why should you not eat of the flesh of the permitted animals slaughtered under the invocation of Allah's Name when He has designated to you the forbidden and admitted of relaxation under compelling circumstances! Indeed a good many lead themselves as well as others in the wrong upon their desires reflecting ignorance and want of knowledge. But Allah knows well those who disregard His commandments and go beyond the limits prescribed by Him.
God has already explained in detail what is unlawful for you to eat, except in case of emergency Therefore, what excuse do you have in order not to eat the meat over which the name of God is mentioned? Indeed the majority of the people follow their vain desires and mislead you by their biased opinions. God surely knows who the wrongdoers are.
And why should you not eat of that (meat) on which Allâh’s Name has been pronounced (at the time of slaughtering the animal), while He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity? And surely many do lead (mankind) astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge. Certainly your Lord knows best the transgressors.

Why should you not eat of what is slaughtered in Allah’s Name when He has already explained to you what He has forbidden to you—except when compelled by necessity? Many ˹deviants˺ certainly mislead others by their whims out of ignorance. Surely your Lord knows the transgressors best.
What should cause you to avoid eating of that upon which the name of Allah has been invoked, while He has spelled out to you all that He has made unlawful for you, except that to which you are compelled by extreme necessity? Surely, there are many who misguide people on the basis of their desires without having knowledge. Surely, your Lord is the best knower of those who cross the limits.
Why should you not eat such animals when God has already fully explained what He has forbidden you, except when forced by hunger? But many lead others astray by their desires, without any true knowledge: your Lord knows best who oversteps the limit.
How is it with you, that you do not eat of that over which God's Name has been mentioned, seeing that He has distinguished for you that He has forbidden you, unless you are constrained to it? But surely, many lead astray by their caprices, without any knowledge; thy Lord knows very well the transgressors.
What ails you that ye do not eat from what God's name is pronounced over, when He has detailed to you what is unlawful for you? Save what ye are forced to; but, verily, many will lead you astray by their fancies, without knowledge. Verily, thy Lord knows best the transgressors.
Why should you not eat from that over which Allah's name has been pronounced, when He has detailed unto you what is unlawful for you, unless you are compelled (or under necessity). But, verily, many are lead astray (or will lead you astray) by their lusts (or fancies, prejudices) through ignorance. Verily, your Lord knows best the transgressors.
And how is it with you, that you do not eat of that over which The Name of Allah has been mentioned-and He has expounded whatever He has prohibited to you-except whatever you are constrained to? And surely many do indeed lead into error by their prejudices without (any) knowledge. Surely your Lord is He Who knows best the transgressors.
And why do ye not eat of that whereon the name of God hath been commemorated? Since He hath plainly declared unto you what He had forbidden you; except that which ye be compelled to by necessity eat of: Many lead others into error, because of their appetites, being void of knowledge; but thy Lord well knoweth who are the transgressors.
And why should you not eat the (meats) on which Allah’s Name has been mentioned? When He has explained to you in detail what is not allowed for you— Except under compulsion of necessity; And indeed, many do mislead (men) by their caprices without any knowledge.
