Among the believers are men who are true to what they made in covenant with God, — among them is he who has fulfilled his vow, and among them is he who is waiting — and they have not changed in the least,

Among the muminun there are men who have been true to the contract they made with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pact by death and some are still waiting to do so, not having changed in any way at all.
From among the believers are men who fulfilled their pledge to God. Thus, some of them died, while some are still waiting; but they never altered in the least.
Of the believers are men who have been true in what they pledged with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow by laying their lives, and some of them stand ready, unwavering. (9:111).

Among the faithful whose hearts reflect the image of religious and spiritual virtues are those who were true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their promise and acquired the glorious privilege of a martyr, others can hardly wait to receive this honour and never did they change their minds' direction nor their will toward the end and they ascertained their disposition.
Some of the believers have already passed their test and have fulfilled their pledge to God and some will face their test pretty soon. The believers have never changed their position.
Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allâh ; of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred); and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed in the least.

There are some remarkable men among the believers who have been true to the covenant they made with Allâh. There are some among them who fulfilled their vow (and fell martyrs). And there are others among them who are (still) waiting to fulfill. They have never changed (their minds, their conduct or stand they had taken) in the least.
Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah. Of them are some who have fulfilled their pledge, and of them are some who still wait, and they have not changed in the least,
