And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: “Oh, that the angels were but sent down upon us, or we but saw our Lord!” They have waxed proud concerning themselves, and scornful with great scorn.

Those who do not expect to meet Us say, ‘Why have angels not been sent down to us? Why do we not see our Lord?’ They have become arrogant about themselves and are excessively insolent.
And those who do not expect to meet Us said: "If only the Angels were sent down upon him, or that we see our Lord. " They have become arrogant in their souls, and they have produced a great blasphemy!
Those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us, say, "Why do not angels come down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Assuredly, they think too highly of themselves and they are uttering a gross insult.

Those who do not expect to meet us said, "If only the angels could come down to us, or we could see our Lord (we would then believe)!" Indeed, they have committed a gross arrogance, and have produced a gross blasphemy.
Those who do not hope to meet Us say: "Why are no angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" They are full of self-conceit and behave with intense arrogance.
And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or do we see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and insolent with great insolence.
But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say, "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" – or, “Why do we not see our Sustainer?” Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled with utter disdain!
And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride.
Those who do not look forward to meet Us say:* "Why should angels not be sent to us, or why do we ourselves not observe our Lord?"* Surely they are too proud of themselves* and have gone beyond all limits in their rebellion.
And those who do not entertain the thought and belief of meeting with Us in Day of Judgement insolently and defiantly say: "If only the angels would be sent down to us or we could distinctly perceive Allah, our Creator, by sight!" They are extravagant in their accounts of themselves. They display inordinate self- esteem and insolently persist in disobedience and in false pride and bury exhortation in oblivion.
Those who mind the least their meeting with Me on the Day of Resurrection say: "We will believe only if God send us some angels or meet us in person. " What an arrogance, what a rebellion.
And those who expect not a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter) said: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride.
Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!
Those who do not expect to meet Us say, "If only the angels were sent down to us, or we could see our Lord!" They have certainly been carried away by their arrogance and have entirely exceeded all limits.
Said those who do not even expect to meet Us, "Why the angels are not sent down to us or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and have gone too far in rebellion.
Those who do not fear to meet Us say, ‘Why are the angels not sent down to us?’ or ‘Why can we not see our Lord?’ They are too proud of themselves and too insolent.
Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful.
And those who do not hope to meet us say, 'Unless the angels be sent down to us, or we see our Lord....!' They are too big with pride in their souls and they have exceeded with a great excess!
We have not sent before you any messengers, but lo! They ate food and walked in the markets; but We have made some of you a test for others: will you be steadfast? your Lord is ever Seer.
And the ones who do not hope for a meeting with Us have said, "Had there been (the) Angels sent down upon us, or (had it been for us to) see our Lord!" Indeed they have already waxed proud within themselves and have rebelled a great rebellion.
They who hope not to meet Us at the resurrection say, unless the angels be sent down unto us, or we see our Lord Himself, we will not believe. Verily they behave themselves arrogantly; and have transgressed with an enormous transgression.
And those who do not expect (their) meeting Us said: "Why are the angels not sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Truly, they have a false opinion of themselves with rudeness in their great arrogance!
Those who entertain no fear about being present before Us, nor do they expect it, say, `Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or we see our Lord?' They have indeed thought very highly of themselves and have exceeded all limits of transgression.
Those who do not expect to encounter Us say, ‘Why have angels not been sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?’ Certainly they are full of arrogance within their souls and have become terribly defiant.
