“Now? And thou opposedst before, and wast of the workers of corruption?
‘What, now! When previously you rebelled and were one of the corrupters?
Now you say this, while before you disobeyed and were of the corrupters!
What? Now! You rebelled ardently all your life. You committed bloody crimes on earth.
“Now? And thou opposedst before, and wast of the workers of corruption?
"Now you say this? While before you disobeyed and were of the corrupters!"
Right now? But before you disobeyed and were of the corrupters!
"Too late! For you have rebelled already, and chose to be a transgressor.,
"Yes, now" (was the answer), "though before this you were disobedient and rebellious.
Now? And you had disobeyed before and were of the corrupters?
"Now? -when ever before this thou hast been rebelling , and hast been among those who spread corruption?
What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled and been of the wrong-doers?
(Thereupon came the response): 'Now you believe, although you disobeyed earlier and were one of the mischief-makers.
"Now", said Allah that you are besieged by horror and caught in the jaws of death, you are willing to submit when as yet you have withheld obedience and refused to conform to My will and you were a byword for wickedness arid infirmity of purpose. "
It was declared: "Now you believe! It is too late, you chose rebellion and corruption. "
Now (you believe) while you refused to believe before and you were one of the Mufsidûn (evil-doers, the corrupters).
(It was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and thou didst mischief (and violence)!
˹He was told,˺ "Now ˹you believe˺? But you always disobeyed and were one of the corruptors.
(Allah said,) "Is it now (that you have come to believe) while you were rebellious all along, and you were among the mischief-makers?
‘Now? When you had always been a rebel, and a troublemaker!
'Now? And before thou didst rebel, being of those that did corruption.
'Now! but thou didst rebel aforetime, and wert of those who do evil;
And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea; and Pharaoh and his hosts pursued them with spite and hostility until when drowning overtook him, he exclaimed, "I believe that there is no Allah but He in whom the children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him, become Muslim)!"
Do you (believe) now? And before (that) you readily disobeyed, and you were (one) of the corruptors. "
Now dost thou believe; when thou hast been hitherto rebellious, and one of the wicked doers?
(It was said to him:) Oh now! But just a little while before, you were in (angry) revolt! And you did mischief (and violence)!
(The Lord) said, `What! (do you remember) now (while dying), whereas you had (always) disobeyed before (this), and you had been of the miscreants!
‘What! Now? When you have been disobedient heretofore and were among the agents of corruption?!
