Then raised We up, after him, messengers to their people, and they came to them with clear signs; but they were not to believe in what they had denied before; thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

Then after him We sent Messengers to their people, and they brought them the Clear Signs, but they were never going to have iman in something which they had previously denied. That is how We seal up the hearts of those who overstep the limits.

After Noah, I sent many prophets to his people. They presented undeniable miracles to them, but how can one believe in what he has decided to deny? Thus I seal the hearts of those who pass the limits.

Thereafter We sent forth even after him Messengers to their people. So they came to them with the Supreme evidences, yet in no way could they believe in what they had cried lies to earlier. Thus We stamp (i.e., set a stamp or seal) upon the hearts of the transgressors.
