He it is that made for you the night wherein to rest, and the day, sight-giving; in that are proofs for people who hear.

It is He who appointed the night for you, so that you could rest in it, and the day for seeing. There are certainly Signs in that for people who listen.

He -Allah- is it Who designated for you a period of darkness -the night-* to take your natural repose and recuperate, and a period filled with -light the day- to have clear perception of things and acquire experience of the activities of human existence. These are phenomena emblematic indeed of Allah's Omnipotence and Authority, phenomena that are appreciated and faithfully recognized by people who bow down their ears to the truth.
God is the One Who created the night so that you rest and brightened up the day. Those who listen, find the Lord’s signs in these phenomena.
