And We made a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and covered them, so they see not.

Thus We have kept them behind the veil so that they cannot see (so have become totally devoid of spiritual light).
And We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, then We have blind-folded them, so they do not see.
