20. Surah Taha, Verse 67

Musa experienced in himself a feeling of alarm.

And Moses held some fear in himself.

Moses feared in his heart that their expertise of playing with words might influence the audience. (7:116).

And Moses conceived a fear within him.

And Moses held some fear in himself.

Moses harbored some fear.

And Moses felt afraid within himself.

And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.

and in his heart Moses became apprehensive.

And Moses conceived a fear in his mind.

So Moses' heart was filled with fear.*

A wave of terror swept over Mussa in his innermost being.

Moses was overcome with fear.

So Mûsâ (Moses) conceived fear in himself.

So Moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear.

So Moses concealed fear within himself.

So, Mūsā concealed some fear in his heart.

Moses was inwardly alarmed,

and Moses conceived a fear within him.

And Moses felt a secret fear within his soul.

He said, "Nay, you throw first!" And lo! Their ropes and their staves appeared to move along.

So Mûsa entertained a fright within himself.

Wherefore Moses conceived fear in his heart.

So Musa (Moses), in his mind had a (sort of) fear.

So Moses felt afraid in his mind (lest the people be misled by their glittering tricks).

Then Moses felt a fear within his heart.
