Waxing proud in the land, and scheming evil; but the evil scheme surrounds none save its authors. Then look they save for the practice of the former peoples? And thou wilt not find in the practice of God any change; and thou wilt not find in the practice of God any alteration.

shown by their arrogance in the land and evil plotting. But evil plotting envelops only those who do it. Do they expect anything but the pattern of previous peoples? You will not find any changing in the pattern of Allah. You will not find any alteration in the pattern of Allah.
Arrogance on Earth, and evil scheming. And the evil schemes only backfire on those who scheme them. Were they expecting anything different from the ways used on the people of the past You will not find any change in God's way, and you will not find any bypass to His way.
Their arrogance in the land and their evil schemes! Yet an evil scheme engulfs its designers. Are they waiting for anything but the way the ancients were dealt with? Yes! No change you will ever find in the Laws of Allah, and no deviation you will ever find in the Laws of Allah.

Should they then expect anything but the fate of those who did the same things in the past? You will find that GOD's system is never changeable; you will find that GOD's system is immutable.
As did their arrogance in the land, and their plotting of evil. But their evil plots will turn back on the plotters themselves. So can they expect any thing but what befell the earlier people? You will not find any change in the law of God, nor will you find divine law mutable.

(Shown in their) behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil; and the evil plot encloseth but the men who make it. Then, can they expect aught save the treatment of the folk of old? Thou wilt not find for Allah's way of treatment any substitute, nor wilt thou find for Allah's way of treatment aught of power to change.
They began to wax even more proud on earth and contrived evil designs although the contriving of evil designs only overtakes their authors. Are they waiting, then, for anything except what happened to the nations before them?* You shall not find any change in the Way of Allah; and you shall not find anything that can ever alter the Way of Allah.
Their rejection of the truth reflected their inordinate self-esteem and their extravagance in their accounts of themselves; they took their cunning for a sinister and crooked wisdom, a cunning fraught with evil. But the cunning that is fraught with evil besets only those who take it for a sinister and crooked wisdom. Do they not see into the mode of action adopted by Allah with those of old and has long been pursued by Him. -His just retributive punishment!- And you shall not find a change in Allah's mode of action nor shall you find deviation in His method of dealing with people -warning then punishing-.
They even turned to more vicious people as they started to recourse to evil plans; not knowing that the evil plan will backfire. What else do they expect but the fate of those who rejected the previous Prophets? Do they think that God’s way of dealing with the disbelievers will change? No, you will never find a change in the God ordained procedure. God’s laws are unchangeable.
(They took to flight because of their) arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil. But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else) but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So no change will you find in Allâh’s Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allâh’s Sunnah (way of dealing).
On account of their arrogance in the land and their plotting of Evil, but the plotting of Evil will hem in only the authors thereof. Now are they but looking for the way the ancients were dealt with? But no change wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing): no turning off wilt thou find in Allah's way (of dealing).

So, they are looking for nothing but the (divine) practice with the earlier people. So you will never find in Allah’s practice any change, and you will never find in Allah’s practice any diversion.

And they swore by Allah with the strongest of their oaths that if there came to them a Warner they would be better guided than any other nations; but when a Warner came to them, it increased them in nothing but aversion,
Waxing proud in the earth, and scheming odiousness; and scheming odiousness redounds upon nobody except its population. (i.e., those who habitually do that) So do they look for anything except the enactment for the earliest (people)? Then, you will never find any exchange of the enactment of Allah, and you will never find any transference to the enactment of Allah.

Do they expect any other than the punishment awarded against the unbelievers of former times? For thou shalt not find any change in the ordinance of God; neither shalt thou find any variation in the ordinance of God.

Then, are they only looking for the way the ancient (peoples) were dealt with? But no change will you find in the way in which Allah (deals): (And) no stopping will you find in the Way Allah (deals).
And made them behave arrogantly on the earth and devise evil schemes; yet evil scheming recoils on none but its authors. They are, then, only waiting that We should follow (the same) practice which We did (in dealing) with the peoples of old. And you will find no change in that law of Allâh, nor will you ever find the law of Allâh shifting from its course.
