So ask thou them: are they harder to create, or those We have created? We created them of clinging clay.
Ask them for a fatwa: is it they who are stronger in structure or other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay.
So ask them: "Are they the more powerful creation, or the others We created" We have created them from sticky mud.
And ask them to enlighten you, "What is more difficult and stronger - their creation or the rest of Our creation in the multiform Universe? Them (the humans) We have only created out of a sticky clay.
So ask thou them: are they harder to create, or those We have created? We created them of clinging clay.
So ask them: "Are they the more powerful creation, or the others We created?" We have created them from a clay that is sticky.
So ask them: "Are they the more powerful creation, or the others We created?" We have created them out of sticky clay.
Ask them, "Are they more difficult to create, or the other creations?" We created them from wet mud.
So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay.
Then inquire of them, , "Are they a stronger creation or those We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
AND NOW ask those to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of clay commingled with water!
Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.
So ask them (that is, human beings): "Were they harder to create than the objects We created?"* We created them from sticky clay.*
Therefore, ask them O Muhammad: Are they the more difficult to bring into being or the others of Our inanimate created beings We created them -mankind- from coherent clay!
Vs. 11-deals with the following question: "Is it difficult for God to recreate man to face the Day of Judgment?"
Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay.
Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!
So ask them ˹O Prophet˺, which is harder to create: them or other marvels of Our creation? Indeed, We created them from a sticky clay.
Now ask them, "Are they stronger in the formation of their bodies, or those (other beings) that We have created?" Certainly, We did create them from sticky clay.
So , ask the disbelievers: is it harder to create them than other beings We have created? We created them from sticky clay.
So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay.
Ask them whether they are stronger by nature or (the angels) whom we have created? We have created them of sticky clay.
Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of plastic (malleable) clay.
So ask them for a pronouncement: "Are they more valiant as a creation or the ones We created? Surely We created them of clinging clay. "
Ask the Meccans therefore, whether they be stronger by nature, or the angels whom We have created? We have surely created them of stiff clay.
Then just ask (the disbelievers) what they think: Are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) creations whom We have created surely, We have created them (the disbelievers) out of a sticky clay!
Therefore, ask them (- your opponents) whether it is they (- the worldly people) who are harder in creation or those (spiritual beings) whom We have created. Them We have created out of adhesive sticking clay (so of firm and strong character).
Ask them, is their creation more prodigious or that We have created? Indeed We created them from a viscous clay.
