By those lined up in rows,
By those drawn up in ranks,
By the columns in formation.
Those vanguards who set up ranks (in order to defend the Divine System).
By those lined up in rows,
By the columns in formation.
By the arrangers in ranks.
The arrangers in columns.
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows,
By those lined up in rows
CONSIDER these ranged in serried ranks,
By those who set the ranks in battle order
By those who range themselves in rows;
By those angels. who draw up in ranks arranged in even rows.
God hereby swears by those who form their ranks to start the battle.
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows).
By those who range themselves in ranks,
By those ˹angels˺ lined up in ranks,
(I swear) by those who stand in rows,
By those ranged in rows,
By the rangers ranging
By the (angels) ranged in ranks,
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks.
And by those ranged in ranks ranging,
By the angels, who rank themselves in order;
By those who arrange themselves in ranks (or rows, to serve and to worship Allah,)
Cited as witness are those who range themselves in close ranks (in various fields of life),
