His people had no answer except saying: "Expel the family of Lot from your city. They are a people who would (rather) be pure!"
But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."
But his people’s only answer was this: "Expel Lot’s followers from your township! Verily, they are folk who make themselves out to be pure!"
But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean!
But this had only one answer from his people. They said: "Expel Lot's folk from your city. They pretend to be absolutely clean."
And what was the response of his people other than to say: "Oust them -Lut and his family and those who fell in line- of your town and drive them away. They are averse to our disposition and wish to cleanse themselves of what they imagine to be moral defilement"
The only response that he received from his people was: "Expel this pious looking Lot and his family from your town. "
There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: "Drive out the family of Lût (Lot) from your city Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!"
But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"
But his people’s only response was to say, "Expel Lot’s followers from your land! They are a people who wish to remain chaste!"
So, the answer of his people was not else but that they said, "Expel the family of LūT from your town. They are a people who over-indulge in purity."
The only answer his people gave was to say, ‘Expel Lot’s followers from your town! These men mean to stay chaste!’
And the only answer of his people was that they said, 'Expel the folk of Lot from your city; they are men that keep themselves clean!'
But the answer of his people was only to say, 'Drive out Lot's family from your city! verily, they are a folk who would keep pure. '
Must you needs lust after men instead of women? Nay! You are a senseless people. "
Then in no way was the answer of his people anything except that they said, "Drive the house of L?t out of your town; surely they are a folk who purify themselves. "
But the answer of his people was no other than that they said, cast the family of Lot out of your city: For they are men who preserve themselves pure from the crimes of which ye are guilty.
But his people gave no other answer except this: They said, "Drive out the followers of (Lot) from your City: Truly, these are men who want to be clean and pure!"
But his people had no reply except that they said, `Drive the followers of Lot out of your township. They are a people who would pose (and parade) to be extra pure and righteous (internally and externally).'
But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Expel Lot’s family from your town! They are indeed a puritanical lot. ’
