If thou askest of them a reward: then are they burdened by debt!

Or is it that thou ask them for a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt ?
Or dost thou (Muhammad) ask a fee from them so that they are heavily taxed?
Or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt?
Or do you invite them O Muhammad and present them with inducements to follow the path of truth and reality for something in return, and so they are charged with a debt that burdens them or brings them under such liability! The truth is that they are obstinate, not that they hold opinions but the opinions hold them.
Mohammad, are you asking a reward for inviting them to the right path that they feel so enraged toward you?
Or is it that you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) ask them a wage, so that they are heavily burdened with debt?
Or is it that thou dost ask them for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?-
Or are you asking them for a reward ˹for the message˺ so that they are overburdened by debt?
Is it that you ask them for a fee, due to which they are burdened with debt?
Do you demand some reward from them that would burden them with debt?
Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt?
Or dost thou ask them a hire for it while they are burdened with debts?
Or do you ask from them a reward, so that they are burdened with debt?
Or even do you ask them for a reward so they are weighed down with heavy fines?
Dost thou ask them any reward for thy preaching? But they are laden with debts.
Or is it that you do ask them for a reward, so that they are not burdened with a load of debt?
(Prophet!) do you ask from them a reward (for conveying to them the Message of prophethood) so that they are weighed down by (this undue) debt (which they find hard to pay)?
