And be thou patient over what they say, and forsake thou them with a comely forsaking.
Be steadfast in the face of what they say and cut yourself off from them – but courteously.

Be patient and forbear their -the Pagans- insults, and avoid them nicely, for true nobleness teaches forbearance from so foul a wrong,

And be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way.

And patiently persevere in the face of all that these (enemies) say and withdraw from them in a graceful manner.
