There was for you in them a good model for one who hopes for God and the Last Day. And whoso turns away: — God, He is the Free from Need, the Praiseworthy.

There is an excellent example in them for you to follow, that is for those whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. But if anyone turns away, Allah is the Rich Beyond Need, the Praiseworthy.
Certainly, a good example has been set by them for those who seek God and the Last Day. And whosoever turns away, then God is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.

Indeed you people had in them -Ibrahim and his followers- the good example and the distinguished quality of action and conduct that induce imitation by those whose object of effort and ambition and their end and purpose are Allah and the Day of Judgement. And those who turn a deaf ear must realize that Allah is AL-Ghaniy (Independent, Absolute) and AL-Hamid (Worthy of all praise).
Abraham and his companions set a good example of conduct for the one who expect that one Day he will have to present himself before God and that is hopeful that God will help him to succeed his trial. As to those who chose to deny their Lord, let them know that the Most Adorable One is in no need (of them).

There is certainly a good exemplar for you in them —for those who look forward to Allah and the Last Day— and anyone who refuses to comply indeed Allah is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable.
