And those who from vain speech turn away,
those who turn away from worthless talk;
And they abstain from vain talk.
And who turn away from all that is senseless. (And they value time).
And those who from vain speech turn away,
And they abstain from vain talk.
They abstain from vain talk.
And they avoid vain talk.
Who shun all frivolities,
And they who turn away from ill speech
and who turn away from all that is frivolous,
And who shun vain conversation,
who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous;*
Who refrain from small or idle talk, gossip and slander.
The believers are those who avoid worthless talk.
And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allâh has forbidden).
Who avoid vain talk;
those who avoid idle talk;
and who keep themselves away from vain things,
who shun idle talk,
and from idle talk turn away
and who from vain talk turn aside,
Who in their prayers are humble,
And the ones who from idle talk are veering away.
and who eschew all vain discourse,
And those who avoid useless talk;
And who keep aloof from all that is vain and idle,
who avoid vain talk,
