And recite thou to them the report of him to whom We gave Our proofs, but he detached himself from them; so the satan followed him, and he was of those who err.

Recite to them the tale of him to whom We gave Our Signs, but who then cast them to one side and Shaytan caught up with him. He was one of those lured into error.
And recite to them the story of the person whom Our revelations were given to him, but he removed himself from them, and thus the devil followed him, and He became of those who went astray.
And tell them what happens to him whom We have conveyed Our Messages and he passes them by. So his selfish desire overtakes him, and he becomes of those who lose their way.

And narrate to the Jews O Muhammad the story of the Israelite to whom We imparted intellectual acquaintance with all the facts and We vested him with the power of comprehending Our signs. Yet he blinded his mind's eyes and refrained from proceeding with Our purpose. By consequence, We sent him to the Devil who had led him by the nose to the maze of error.
Tell to people what happened to a certain person to whom My miracles were revealed but he chose to disregard them, follow the Satan and, consequently, ended up among the losers.
And recite (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but he threw them away; so Shaitân (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray.
