Then when they embark on the ship, they call to God, sincere to Him in doctrine; but when He delivers them to the land, then they ascribe a partnership,

When they embark in ships, they call on Allah, making their deen sincerely His, but then when He delivers them safely to the land, they associate others with Him.
When they ride on a ship, they call on God, devoting the system to Him. But as soon as He saves them to the shore, they set up partners.
And so (are they lost in this passing delight that), when they embark on a boat, they call unto God, sincere in their faith in the Divine Laws. But as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, behold, they resume their idolatry in various forms.

And so, when they embark on a ship , they call unto God, sincere in their faith in Him alone; but as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, they ascribe to imaginary powers a share in His divinity:
And when they mount upon the ships they pray to Allah, making their faith pure for Him only, but when He bringeth them safe to land, behold! they ascribe partners (unto Him),
When they embark in the ships they call upon Allah, consecrating their faith to Him. But when He rescues them and brings them to land, they suddenly begin to associate others with Allah in His Divinity
And when at sea on board ship and the wind is rising and the sea roughening they invoke Allah and Him exclusively. And when He extends mercy to them and delivers them to safety they simply incorporate with Him other deities.
When they are overwhelmed by fear in their ship , they pray to God wholehearted. when God brings them safe to land, they return to their practice of worshipping others beside God!
And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allâh, making their Faith pure for Him only: but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others.
Now, if they embark on a boat, they call on Allah, making their devotion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him; but when He has delivered them safely to (dry) land, behold, they give a share (of their worship to others)!-
If they happen to be aboard a ship ˹caught in a storm˺, they cry out to Allah ˹alone˺ in sincere devotion. But as soon as He delivers them ˹safely˺ to shore, they associate ˹others with Him once again˺.
So when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, having their faith purely in Him. But when He saves them (and brings them) to the land, in no time they start committing shirk (ascribing partners to Allah),
Whenever they go on board a ship they call on God, and dedicate their faith to Him alone, but once He has delivered them safely back to land, see how they ascribe partners to Him!

And when they ride in the ship they call upon God, making their religion seem sincere to Him; but when He saves them to the shore, behold, they associate others with Him;
This life of the world is nothing but a pastime and game (or a sport and a play); but, verily, the abode of the Hereafter, that is life, if they did but knew!
So when they embark in the ships, they invoke Allah, making the religion His faithfully; then, as soon as He delivers them safe on the dry land, only then do they associate others (with Him).
When they sail in a ship, they call upon God, sincerely exhibiting unto Him the true religion: But when He bringeth them safe to land, behold, they return to their idolatry;
And when they climb onto a boat, they invoke (to worship) Allah, making their prayers only to Him; Only when He has brought them safely to land, look! They give a share (of their worship with others)!
And when they board a ship (and find themselves in danger they pray to Allâh with sincere and single-minded faith in Him; but as soon as He lands them safe they begin to associate partners (with Him again),
