Then when he saw the moon rising he said: “This is my Lord.” Then when it set he said: “If my Lord guide me not, I will be of the people who stray.”

Then when he saw the moon come up he said, ‘This is my Lord!’ Then when it set he said, ‘If my Lord does not guide me, I will be one of the misguided people. ’
So when he saw the moon rising, he said: "This is my Lord. " But when it disappeared he said: "If my Lord will not guide me, then I will be amongst the wicked people!"
(The other night) when the moon was rising, he exclaimed, "This is my Lord. " But when it went down, he said to himself and to the people, "Unless my Lord guides me, I surely will go astray."
Then when he saw the moon rising he said: “This is my Lord.” Then when it set he said: “If my Lord guide me not, I will be of the people who stray.”
So when he saw the moon rising, he said: "This is my Lord." But when it disappeared he said: "If my Lord does not guide me, then I will be among the wicked people!"
So when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my Lord." But when it disappeared he said, "If my Lord will not guide me, then I will be amongst the wicked people!"
When he saw the moon rising, he said, "Maybe this is my Lord!" When it disappeared, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will be with the strayers."
When (Azar) saw the moon rise all aglow, he said: "This is my Lord. " But even as the moon set, (Abraham) said: "If my Lord had not shown me the way I would surely have gone astray."
And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord. " But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."
Then, when he beheld the moon rising, he said, "This is my Sustainer!"-but when it went down, he said, "Indeed, if my Sustainer guide me not. I will most certainly become one of the people who go astray!"

Then when he saw the moon, again with his inward sight, rising into view and over head it sat: "This is my Allah", he said. But again when it vanished from sight he said: "Unless the supreme controlling and influencing power actuates me with thought and guidance, I will certainly be lost in a maze".
When Abraham saw the moon appearing in splendor, he said: "This must be the Lord!" When the moon disappeared he said: "If God does not guide me, I will be like those who are lost. "
When he saw the moon rising up, he said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "Unless my Lord guides me, I shall surely be among the people who went astray."

And when he saw the moon rising he said, ‘This is my Lord,’ but when it too set, he said, ‘If my Lord does not guide me, I shall be one of those who go astray.’

Then, as soon as he saw the moon emerging, he said, "This is my Lord. " Yet as soon as it set, he said, "Indeed unless my Lord guides me, indeed I will definitely be of the erring people."
And when he saw the moon rise with spreading light, he said, 'Can this be my lord?' But when it set, he said, 'If my Lord guide me not, I shall surely be of the people who go astray. '
When he saw the moon rising in splendor, he said: "This is my Lord. " But when the moon set, he said: "Unless my Lord guides me, I shall surely be among those who go astray."
Then when he saw the moon rise with spreading light he said (to the people), `Is this my Lord (as you assert)?' But when it set he said, `Had my Lord not guided me aright I would have, invariably, been of the people who have gone astray. '
Then, when he saw the moon rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord!’ But when it set, he said, ‘Had my Lord not guided me, I would surely have been among the astray lot. ’
