Say thou: “He is the one able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to confound you through sects and let some of you taste the might of others.” See thou how We expound the proofs, that they might understand,

Say: ‘He possesses the power to send you punishment from above your heads or from beneath your feet, or to confuse you in sects and make you taste one another’s violence. ’ Look how We vary the Signs so that hopefully they will understand.
Say: "He is able to send retribution from above you or from below your feet, or He will make you belong to opposing factions, then He will let you taste the might of each other. " See how We cite the revelations, perhaps they may comprehend.
Say, "He is Able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. (Violation of His Laws can inflict you from the top in the form of tyrannical rule, or from the bottom in the form of popular rebellion. You could then divide into hateful parties, and taste smite of one another). Note how We use TASREEF, explaining Our Verses from various vantage points, that men and women may understand.

Say, "He is certainly able to pour upon you retribution from above you, or from beneath your feet. Or He can divide you into factions and have you taste each others' tyranny. Note how we explain the revelations, that they may understand."
Say: "He has power to send you retribution from the skies above, or the earth beneath your feet, or confound you with divisions among you, and give one the taste of the vengeance of the other. " See, how distinctly We explain Our signs that they may understand.
Say, "He is the Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you sects and make you taste the violence of one another. " Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand.
Say: "It is He alone who has the power to let loose upon you suffering from above you or from beneath your feet, or to confound you with mutual discord and let you taste the fear of one another. " Behold how many facets we give to these messages, so that they might understand the truth.
Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand.
Say: "It is He Who has the power to send forth chastisement upon you from above you, or from beneath your feet, or split you into hostile groups and make some of you taste each others' violence. Behold, how We set forth Our signs in diverse forms, so that maybe they will understand the Truth".*
Say to them: "He is the Omnipotent Who is able to drive against you a retributive punishment from the realm above you or from beneath your feet, or to fan the flow of discord among you and split you into adversative factions and make some of you iniquitous and oppressive to the others and make some of you taste the hostilities launched out by others". See O Muhammad how We expound and orient Our revelations to circumstances and requirements that they may hopefully reflect!
Say: "He is capable of sending you a disaster from the above (like a tornado) or from the beneath of your feet (such as an earthquake. ) He may also let you divide yourselves into different sects and, in such confusion, let you fight against each other (for stupid reasons.)" Note how I clearly make my point so that you understand them.
Say: "He has power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, and make you to taste the violence of one another." See how variously We explain the Ayât (proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), so that they may understand.
Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand.
Say, "He ˹alone˺ has the power to unleash upon you a torment from above or below you or split you into ˹conflicting˺ factions and make you taste the violence of one another." See how We vary the signs, so perhaps they will comprehend.
Say, "He is fully capable that He should send a punishment from above you or from beneath your feet, or to put you in confusion through divisions, and make some of you taste troubles through some others." See how We bring forth explaining verses from different angles, so that they may understand.
Say, ‘He has power to send punishment on you from above or from under your very feet, or to divide you into discordant factions and make some taste the violence of others.’ See how We explain Our revelation in various ways, so that they may understand,
Say: 'He is able to send forth upon you chastisement, from above you or from under your feet, or to confuse you in sects and to make you taste the violence of one another. ' Behold how We turn about the signs; haply they will understand.
Say, 'He is able to send torment on you from above you and from beneath your feet, and to confuse you in sects, and to make some of you taste the violence of others. ' See how we turn about the signs, that haply they may discriminate.
Say, "He is able to send calamities on you from above you and from beneath your feet, and to confuse you with dissenting sects, and to make you taste the violence of each other. " See how We explain the Signs, in various ways that per chance (or possibly) they may understand.
Say, "He is The Determiner over sending forth upon you a torment, from above you or from beneath your legs, (i. e., under your feet) or to confound you in sects and to make you taste the violence of one another." (Literally: some of you the violence of some) Look how We propound the signs that possibly they would comprehend.
Say, 'He has the power to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to confound you by splitting you into sects and make you taste the violence of one another. See how We expound the Signs in various ways that they may understand!
Say: "He has the power to send serious harm to you from above you or from under your feet, or to cover you with confusion within the sects, (or conflict), giving you a taste of mutual evil to suffer one from the other. " See how We explain the Signs by various (symbols); That you may understand.
Say, `He has power to send upon you a calamity from above and from beneath your feet or He may throw you into confusion by making you confront with conflicting parties, and make you taste the dissension (and violence) of one another. ' Behold! how We explain Our Messages in different ways so that they may give thought.
Say, ‘He is able to send upon you a punishment from above you or from under your feet, or confound you as factions, and make you taste one another’s violence. ’ Look, how We paraphrase the signs variously so that they may understand!
