We know that it grieves thee what they say; and they deny not thee, but the wrongdoers reject the proofs of God.
We know that what they say distresses you. It is not that they are calling you a liar; the wrongdoers are just denying Allah’s Signs.
We know that you are saddened by what they say; they are not rejecting you, but it is God's revelations which the wicked disregard.

We do know O Muhammad that what their dishonesty admits of irreverent discourse grieves you at heart, In fact it is not you that they charge with falsehood, but it is Allah's revelations, signs and Authority that the wrongful deny. They befool their minds and their judgement of the truth to cause what is false be accepted as true.
I know well how their words hurt you. it is not your that they question; it is the Lord's commandments that the wicked reject.
We know indeed the grief which their words cause you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): it is not you that they deny, but it is the Verses (the Qur’ân) of Allâh that the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) deny.
