They have lost who deny the meeting with God; when the Hour has come upon them unexpectedly, they will say: “O our regret over what we neglected concerning it!” And they will bear their burdens upon their backs; in truth, evil is what they will bear.

Those who deny the meeting with Allah have lost, so that, when the Hour comes upon them suddenly, they will say, ‘Alas for how we neglected it!’ They will bear their burdens on their backs. How evil is what they bear!
Losers are those who have denied their meeting with God; until the Hour comes to them suddenly, then they Say: "We deeply regret that which we have wasted in it," and they will carry their burdens on their backs; miserable indeed is their burden.

Lost indeed are they who consider it a lie that they will have to meet God -till the Last Hour suddenly comes upon them, they cry, "Alas for us, that we disregarded it!" - for they shall bear on their backs the burden of their sins: oh, how evil the load with which they shall be burdened!

Those who consider it a lie that they will have to meet Allah are indeed the losers so much so that when that Hour comes to them suddenly they will say: 'Alas for us, how negligent we have been in this behalf.' They will carry their burden (of sins) on their backs. How evil is the burden they bear!
Losers indeed are those who deny Resurrection and their audience of Allah, their Creator. And when all of a sudden the predetermined Eventful Hour surprises them, they shall say with pining regrets and vain repentances: "It is a great pity to have neglected our duty to Allah in life below and for what we left undone." They shall be burdened with wrongs more then their backs can bear. Evil indeed is the fate of those who are burdened with wrongs, and evil indeed are the wrongs they wear.
The losers are those who deny that they have to meet their Lord until they suddenly find themselves at His presence. Then they become sorry and say: "Shame on us who wasted our worldly lives." They will carry loads of sins on their back; what a miserable load to carry.
They indeed are losers who denied their Meeting with Allâh, until all of a sudden, the Hour (signs of death) is on them, and they say: "Alas for us that we gave no thought to it," while they will bear their burdens on their backs; and evil indeed are the burdens that they will bear!
Lost indeed are they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet Allah,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: "Ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it"; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed are the burdens that they bear?
Losers indeed are those who deny the meeting with Allah until the Hour takes them by surprise, then they will cry, "Woe to us for having ignored this!" They will bear ˹the burden of˺ their sins on their backs. Evil indeed is their burden!
Losers indeed are those who deny that they will ever face Allah, until when the Hour will come upon them suddenly, they will say, "Alas! We have been negligent about it." They shall carry their burdens on their backs. Beware! Evil is the burden they carry.
Lost indeed are those who deny the meeting with their Lord until, when the Hour suddenly arrives, they say, ‘Alas for us that we disregarded this!’ They will bear their burdens on their backs. How terrible those burdens will be!
Lost indeed are they that cried lies to the encounter with God, so that when the Hour comes to them suddenly they shall say, 'Alas for us, that we neglected it!' On their backs they shall be bearing their loads; O how evil the loads they bear!

The ones who have cried lies to the meeting with Allah have already lost until, when the Hour comes to them suddenly, they will say, "Oh, alas for us, for whatever we neglected in it. " And they will be carrying their encumbrances (Literally: whatever "they are encumbered with") on their backs. Verily odious are the encumbrances they bear!
Those indeed are the losers who deny the meeting with Allah, so much so, that when the Hour shall come on them unawares, they will say, 'O our grief for our neglecting this Hour!' And they shall bear their burdens on their backs. Surely, evil is that which they bear.
Lost indeed are those who treat it as a lie that they must meet Allah— Until all of a sudden the hour (sign of death) comes to, and they say: "Oh! Sorrow upon us that we did not give any thought to it;" For they bear their burdens on their backs. And truly how evil are the burdens that they bear!
Those who cried lies to (the news of) meeting Allâh have indeed suffered a loss; (they will go on denying it) until the Hour (of Resurrection) overtakes them unaware. They will then say, `Woe to Us, for our neglecting it (-the Hour, in our life).' And they shall be bearing the burdens (of their sins) on their backs. Behold! how evil is the burden they shall bear.
They are certainly losers who deny the encounter with Allah. When the Hour overtakes them suddenly, they will say, ‘Alas for us, for what we neglected in it!’ And they will bear their burdens on their backs. Look! Evil is what they bear!
