And if thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire: — then they will say: “Would that we were sent back! Then would we not deny the proofs of our Lord, but be among the believers.”

If only you could see when they are standing before the Fire and saying, ‘Oh! If only we could be sent back again, we would not deny the Signs of our Lord and we would be among the muminun. ’
And if you could see when they are standing over the Fire, they Say: "If only we could be sent back, we would not deny the revelations of our Lord, and we would be believers!"
If only you could see them when they face the Fire! They will say, " We wish we could go back and never reject our Lord's Revelations, and be among the believers. "
And if thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire: — then they will say: “Would that we were sent back! Then would we not deny the proofs of our Lord, but be among the believers.”
And if you could see when they are standing over the Fire, they say: "If only we could be sent back, we would not deny the revelations of our Lord, and we would be believers!"
If you could see when they are standing over the fire, they say, "If only we were sent back, we would not deny the signs of our Lord, and we would be those who acknowledge!"
If only you could see them when they face the hellfire! They would say then, "Woe to us. Oh, we wish we could go back, and never reject our Lord's revelations, and join the believers."
If you should see them when they are stood before the Fire, they will say: "Ah would that we were sent back (to the world)! We shall not deny the signs of our Lord, and be among those who believe. "
If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers. "
If thou couldst but see when they will be made to stand before the fire and will say, "Oh, would that we were brought back : then we would not give the lie to our Sustainer's messages, but would be among the believers!"
If thou couldst see when they are set before the Fire and say: Oh, would that we might return! Then would we not deny the revelations of our Lord but we would be of the believers!
If you could but see when they shall be made to stand by the Fire! They will plead: 'Would that we were brought back to life? Then we would not give the lie to the signs of our Lord and would be among the believers.'
If only you could visualize their change of mind when they are confined into the slavish imprisonment of Hell! They shall wish they could be sent back to life below and they would never deny Allah's revelations and signs, and they would be among those who conform to Allah's will.
If only you could see them when they face the Hellfire! They would say: "If we were only sent back, we would never deny the Lord's signs and would join the believers. "
If you could but see when they will be held over the (Hell) Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back (to the world)! Then we would not deny the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of our Lord, and we would be of the believers!"
If thou couldst but see when they are confronted with the Fire! They will say: "Would that we were but sent back! Then would we not reject the signs of our Lord, but would be amongst those who believe!"
If only you could see when they will be detained before the Fire! They will cry, "Oh! If only we could be sent back, we would never deny the signs of our Lord and we would ˹surely˺ be of the believers."
If only you could (be there to) see when they will be made to stand by the Fire, and they will say, "Would that we were sent back, then we would not reject the signs of our Lord, and would join the believers."
If you could only see, when they are made to stand before the Fire, how they will say, ‘If only we could be sent back, we would not reject the revelations of our Lord, but be among the believers.’
If thou couldst see when they are stationed before the Fire, and they say, 'Would that we might be returned, and then not cry lies to the signs of our Lord, but that we might be among the believers!'
But couldst thou see when they are set over the fire and say, 'Would that we were sent back! we would not call our Lord's signs lies, but we would be of the believers?'
But could you but see when they are set over the Fire and say, "Would that we were sent back! We would not then deny our Lord's revelations, but we would be of the believers?"
And if you could see (them) as they are made to stand against the Fire, so they say, "Oh, would that we might be turned back, and (then) we would not cry lies to the signs of our Lord, and we would be among the believers!"
And if thou couldst only see when they are made to stand before the Fire! They will say, 'Oh, would that we might be sent back! And then we would not treat the Signs of our Lord as lies and we would be of the believers. '
If you could only see when they are faced with the Fire! They will say: "If only we were sent back! Then we would not reject the Signs of our Lord, but would be among those who believe!"
Could you but see (them) when they are made to stand before the Fire (making a full appraisal of it). They will say then, `Oh! would that we could be sent back (to have a chance to mend our ways), then we would not cry lies to the revelations of our Lord and would be of the believers.'
Were you to see when they are brought to a halt by the Fire, whereupon they will say, ‘If only we were sent back ! Then we will not deny the signs of our Lord, and we will be among the faithful!’
