AL-Shytan took advantage of them when they consented to help those who held all that Allah has revealed in a very strong dislike and cherished hatred to His revealed religion; they said to them: " we will obey you in some respects, " (namely: to carry on underhand plotting and to plan some actions to attain the desired end, and to employ secret influence for the accomplishment of set designs), but Allah knew what their hearts forged that their tongues must vent.

ذَلِكَبِأَنَّهُمْقَالُوالِلَّذِينَكَرِهُوامَانَزَّلَاللَّهُسَنُطِيعُكُمْفِيبَعْضِالْأَمْرِوَاللَّهُيَعْلَمُإِسْرَارَهُمْ٢٦
Thalika bi-annahum qaloo lillatheenakarihoo ma nazzala Allahu sanuteeAAukum feebaAAdi al-amri wallahu yaAAlamu israrahum
7:175

And recite to them the tiding of him to whom We brought Our signs, yet he stripped himself out of them; (i. e., he abaudoned them) then Ash-Shytan (The all-vicious one, i.e., the Devil) followed up after him, (and) so he became of the misguided..

وَاتْلُعَلَيْهِمْنَبَأَالَّذِيَآتَيْنَاهُآيَاتِنَافَانسَلَخَمِنْهَافَأَتْبَعَهُالشَّيْطَانُفَكَانَمِنَالْغَاوِينَ١٧٥
Watlu AAalayhim nabaa allatheeataynahu ayatina fansalakhaminha faatbaAAahu ashshaytanu fakanamina alghaween
47:25

Those apostates who have renounced Faith in favour of disbelief after the spirit of truth has guided them into all truth, were victims of Al-Shytan (Satan) who took advantage of them, instigated them and suggested to their minds heavenly shows thereby staking their very lives on very dark hopes.

إِنَّالَّذِينَارْتَدُّواعَلَىأَدْبَارِهِممِّنبَعْدِمَاتَبَيَّنَلَهُمُالْهُدَىالشَّيْطَانُسَوَّلَلَهُمْوَأَمْلَىلَهُمْ٢٥
Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAalaadbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhudaashshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum
4:83

And when there comes to them a command (i. e., the matter, the affair) of security or fear, they divulge it; and if they had referred it to the Messenger and to the ones endowed with the command (i.e., those in authority) among them, the ones among them who investigate would indeed know it. And had it not been for the Grace of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would indeed have closely followed Ash-Shytan, (the all-vicious, i.e., the Devil) except a few.

وَإِذَاجَاءهُمْأَمْرٌمِّنَالأَمْنِأَوِالْخَوْفِأَذَاعُواْبِهِوَلَوْرَدُّوهُإِلَىالرَّسُولِوَإِلَىأُوْلِيالأَمْرِمِنْهُمْلَعَلِمَهُالَّذِينَيَسْتَنبِطُونَهُمِنْهُمْوَلَوْلاَفَضْلُاللّهِعَلَيْكُمْوَرَحْمَتُهُلاَتَّبَعْتُمُالشَّيْطَانَإِلاَّقَلِيلاً٨٣
Wa-itha jaahum amrun minaal-amni awi alkhawfi athaAAoo bihi walaw raddoohu ilaarrasooli wa-ila olee al-amri minhum laAAalimahuallatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadluAllahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu lattabaAAtumuashshaytana illa qaleela
31:33

O you people: "Keep in awe of Allah and entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Him and regard with fear a Day when no father can avail his son nor be of advantage to him or be able to afford him help nor can a son avail his father or be of profit to him, and do realize that Allah's promise is Truth personified. Therefore, do not let life below deceive you and entangle you with the fleshy passions and mundane vanity nor should anything power, business, wealth, knowledge, long life, status, lust, or AL-Shytan or those with characteristics befitting him ever alienate you from Allah.

يَاأَيُّهَاالنَّاسُاتَّقُوارَبَّكُمْوَاخْشَوْايَوْمًالَّايَجْزِيوَالِدٌعَنوَلَدِهِوَلَامَوْلُودٌهُوَجَازٍعَنوَالِدِهِشَيْئًاإِنَّوَعْدَاللَّهِحَقٌّفَلَاتَغُرَّنَّكُمُالْحَيَاةُالدُّنْيَاوَلَايَغُرَّنَّكُمبِاللَّهِالْغَرُورُ٣٣
Ya ayyuha annasuittaqoo rabbakum wakhshaw yawman la yajzee walidunAAan waladihi wala mawloodun huwa jazin AAan walidihishay-an inna waAAda Allahi haqqun falataghurrannakumu alhayatu addunya walayaghurrannakum billahi algharoor
