And they will say: “Had we listened, or used reason, we would not be among the companions of the Inferno.”
They will say, ‘If only we had really listened and used our intellect, we would not have been Companions of the Blaze. ’
And they said: "If we had listened or understood, we would not be among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!"
And they will say, "If we really listened and used our sense, we would not be among the dwellers of the Flames. " (7:179).
And they will say: “Had we listened, or used reason, we would not be among the companions of the Inferno.”
And they said: "If we had listened or understood, we would not be among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!"
They would say, "If we had listened or understood, we would not be among the dwellers of the blazing fire!"
They also say, "If we heard or understood, we would not be among the dwellers of Hell!"
They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell. "
And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze. "
And they will add: "Had we but listened , or used our own reason, we would not be among those who are destined for the blazing flame!"
And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames.
They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood,* we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'"
And they add, "had we opened our hearts' ears or used our minds' eyes, we would never be among those destined to the blazes of Hell".
Then they will say with sorrow: "If we had listened, we would not have ended up here in Hell. "
And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!"
They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!"
And they will lament, "If only we had listened and reasoned, we would not be among the residents of the Blaze!"
And they will say, "Had we been listening or understanding, we would not have been among the people of the Hell."
They will say, ‘If only we had listened, or reasoned, we would not be with the inhabitants of the blazing fire,’ and
They also say, 'If we had only heard, or had understood, we would not have been of the inhabitants of the Blaze. '
And they shall say, 'Had we but listened or had sense we had not been amongst the fellows of the blaze!'
And they shall say, "Had we but listened or pondered (used our reason or intelligence), we should not have been among the inmates of the Blazing Fire. "
And they say, "If we had heard or had considered, in no way would we have been among the companions of the Blaze".
And they shall say, if we had hearkened, or had rightly considered, we should not have been among the inhabitants of burning fire:
And they will also say: "Had we only listened or used our understanding, we should not (now) be among the companions of the blazing Fire!"
And they will add, `If we had only listened and tried to understand we would not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire (this day). '
And they will say, ‘Had we listened or applied reason, we would not have been among inmates of the Blaze. ’
