That the doctors of the Law might know that they have no power over the bounty of God, and that bounty is in the hand of God; He gives it to whom He wills; and God is possessor of tremendous bounty.

So that the People of the Book may know that they have no power at all over any of Allah’s favour and that all favour is in the Hand of Allah. He gives it to anyone He wills. Allah’s favour is indeed immense.
So that the followers of the Scripture should know that they have no power over God's grace, and that all grace is in God's hand. He bestows it upon whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Infinite Grace.
And the People of the Scripture should know that they have no power whatsoever over the Bounty of Allah. All Bounty is in Allah's hand and He grants it according to His Laws. And Allah is the Lord of a tremendous bounty. (He is the Lord of the Worlds and the Lord of all mankind and discriminates not between people (1:1), (114:1)).

So that the people of the Book may know that they have not the least power over the bounty of God, and that the bounty is wholly in the hands of God to give whosoever He please, for God is the master of infinite bounty.
so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able anything from the bounty of Allah and that bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
And the followers of earlier revelation should know that they have no power whatever over any of God’s bounty, seeing that all bounty is in God’s hand : He grants it unto whomever He wills - for God is limitless in His great bounty.
That the People of the Scripture may know that they control naught of the bounty of Allah, but that the bounty is in Allah's hand to give to whom He will. And Allah is of Infinite Bounty.
(You should do this) so that the People of the Book know that they have no control over Allah's Bounty, and that all bounty is in Allah's Hand; He bestows it on whomsoever He pleases. Allah is the Lord of abounding bounty.
So that Ahl AL-Kitab (people of the Book) would realize that they cannot force Allah's hands to confer on them His grace or a free and unmerited favour and that grace, be it sufficient or efficacious, rests with Allah; He confers it on whom He will, and Allah is the source of abounding munificence and all grace.
May the followers of the previous Scriptures know that they do not have the monopoly to God’s mercy and grace and that all grace is in God’s possession which He may shower upon whoever He desires. The Grace of God does not have any limit.
So that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allâh, and that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.

Lest that the Population of the Book (Or: The Family of the Book, i. e., the Jews and Christians) should know that they are able to estimate anything of the Grace of Allah, and that the Grace is in the Hand of Allah; He brings it to whomever He decides; and Allah is The Owner of the magnificent Grace.
That those who have received the scriptures may know that they have not power over any of the favours of God, and that good is in the hand of God; He bestoweth the same on whom He pleaseth, for God is endued with great beneficence.
That the People of the Book may know that they do not have any power over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to (grant) it on anyone He wills. For Allah is the Owner of Gifts, great, (plentiful) and abounding.
(You will be so treated) lest the people of the Scripture should think that they (- the Muslims) have no control over the attainment of the grace and bounty of Allâh and (so that they should know) that grace and bounty is entirely in the hands of Allâh; He bestows it upon such as wishes to be granted it (and strives for it). And Allâh is the Lord of immense grace and bounty.
