And when he reached the age of working with him, he said: “O my son: I saw in a dream, that I was sacrificing thee. So look thou — what seest thou?” He said: “O my father: do thou what thou art commanded; thou wilt find me, if God wills, of the patient.”

When he was of an age to work with him, he said, ‘My son, I saw in a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think about this?’ He said, ‘Do as you are ordered, father. Allah willing, you will find me resolute.’
And when he grew enough to work with him, he said: "My son, I am seeing in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think" He said: "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, God willing, patient."
And when he was old enough to strive along with him, Abraham said, "O My dear son! I have a vision that I must give you to a life of test and tribulation for a Noble cause (37:107). So look, what do you think?" He said, "O My father! Do what you are commanded. God willing, you will find me of the steadfast." ('Zibh' & 'Zabh' = Sacrifice = Disregard comfort for a Noble cause. Just as 'Qatl' = Killing, fighting, humiliating, to bring low).
And when he reached the age of working with him, he said: “O my son: I saw in a dream, that I was sacrificing thee. So look thou — what seest thou?” He said: “O my father: do thou what thou art commanded; thou wilt find me, if God wills, of the patient.”
And when he grew enough to work with him, he said: "My son, I am seeing in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?" He said: "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, God willing, patient."
When he grew enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I am seeing in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?" He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, God willing, patient."
When he grew enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?" He said, "O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, GOD willing, patient." *
When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm."
And when he reached with him exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I sacrifice you, so see what you think. " He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
And when had become old enough to share in his endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" answered: “O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!”
And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.
and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: "My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you.* So consider (and tell me) what you think."* He said: “Do as you are bidden.* You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.”
And when the son attained maturity and was able to participate in his father's divine service the father intimated to him his mystical vision. He said: "my son I saw in my dream that I offer you up to Allah as a sacrifice and so, see what you think and what you have to say". But the son said: " O father do what you have been commanded, you shall find me with patience, Allah willing, bearing your act."
When the boy grew up, one day Abraham told him: "My son, I have seen in my dream that I am sacrificing you; what do you think about it?" The son said: “My dear father, do whatever God has ordered you to do. God willing, I will bear in this process.”
And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offering you in sacrifice to Allâh). So look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, In shâ’ Allâh (if Allâh wills), you shall find me of As-Sâbirûn (the patient)."
Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"
Then when the boy reached the age to work with him, Abraham said, "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I ˹must˺ sacrifice you. So tell me what you think." He replied, “O my dear father! Do as you are commanded. Allah willing, you will find me steadfast.”
Thereafter, when he (the boy) reached an age in which he could work with him, he (Ibrāhīm) said, "O my little son, I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you, so consider, what is your opinion?" He said, “O my dear father, do what you have been ordered to do. You will find me, inshā’allah, (if Allah wills) one of those who endure patiently.”
When the boy was old enough to work with his father, Abraham said, ‘My son, I have seen myself sacrificing you in a dream. What do you think?’ He said, ‘Father, do as you are commanded and, God willing, you will find me steadfast.’
and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast. '
And when he reached the age to work with him, he said, 'O my boy! verily, I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee, look then what thou seest right. ' Said he, 'O my sire! do what thou art bidden; thou wilt find me, if it please God, one of the patient!'
And when his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "O my son! Surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what do you think. " He said. "O my father! Do what you are commanded; if Allah wills, you will find me of the patient (constant) ones.
Then when he (His son) reached the age of endeavoring with him, he said, "O my son, surely I see in a dream (Literally: time of sleeping) that I should slay you; so, look, what do you see?" He said, "O my (dear) father, perform whatever you are commanded; you will soon find me, in case Allah (so) decides, among the patient. "
And when he had attained to years of discretion, and could join in acts of religion with him; Abraham said unto him, O my son, verily I saw in a dream that I should offer thee in sacrifice: Consider therefore what thou art of opinion I should do. He answered, O my father, do what thou art commanded: Thou shalt find me, if God please, a patient person.
And when (his son, Ismail) became (the age to) work with him, he (Ibrahim) said: "O my son! I see in a dream (vision) that I offer you in sacrifice (to Allah): Now see what is your (own) thought!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do like you are commanded: You will find me, if Allah so wills one who has (great) patience (and constancy!)"
Now, when that (son, Ismâîl) was (old enough) to work along with him, (his father, Abraham) said, `My dear son! I have seen in a dream that I sacrifice you. So consider (it and tell me) what you think (of it).' (The son) said, `My dear father! do as you are commanded. If Allâh will you will find me of the calm and steadfast.'
When he was old enough to assist in his endeavour, he said, ‘My son! I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you. See what you think.’ He said, ‘Father! Do whatever you have been commanded. If Allah wishes, you will find me to be patient.’
