Surah Yusuf (Joseph) — سورة يوسف - **Verse:** 62 / 111 · **Juz:** 13 · **Mushaf page:** 241 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-yusuf/verse-62 ## Arabic وَقَالَ لِفِتْيَانِهِ اجْعَلُوا بِضَاعَتَهُمْ ف۪ي رِحَالِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَعْرِفُونَـهَٓا اِذَا انْقَلَـبُٓوا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ## Transcription Waqala lifityanihi ijAAaloo bidaAAatahumfee rihalihim laAAallahum yaAArifoonaha ithainqalaboo ila ahlihim laAAallahum yarjiAAoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He told his serving men, ‘Put back their goods into their saddlebags for them to find when they arrive back to their families so that perhaps they will return again. ’ ### Progressive Muslims And he said to his servants: "Return their goods back into their bags, so that they will recognize it when they return to their family and they will come back again. " ### Shabbir Ahmed Joseph said to his servants, "Load their barter (the price of wheat) back in their saddlebags. Joseph did so expecting that they would find it when they returned home. Feeling grateful for this generosity, they might be inclined to return to him. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab There and then said Yusuf to his attendants who rendered the service: "Put back their money -which they paid for the corn- into their saddle-bags; they may recognize it when they go back to their people and hopefully be encouraged to come back.
