Surah Yusuf (Joseph) — سورة يوسف - **Verse:** 110 / 111 · **Juz:** 13 · **Mushaf page:** 247 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-yusuf/verse-110 ## Arabic حَتّٰٓى اِذَا اسْتَيْـَٔسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّٓوا اَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوا جَٓاءَهُمْ نَصْرُنَاۙ فَنُجِّيَ مَنْ نَشَٓاءُۜ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُنَا عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِم۪ينَ ## Transcription Hatta itha istay-asa arrusuluwathannoo annahum qad kuthiboo jaahumnasruna fanujjiya man nashao walayuraddu ba/suna AAani alqawmi almujrimeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Then when the Messengers despaired and thought themselves denied, Our help came to them, and those We willed were saved. Our violent force cannot be averted from people who are evildoers. ### Progressive Muslims Then, when the messengers gave up, and they thought that they have been denied, Our victory came to them. We then save whom We wish, and Our punishment cannot be swayed from the wicked people. ### Shabbir Ahmed There have been times when even the Messengers had lost all hope of reformation and thought that they had been denied. Then came Our help. We saved everyone worthy of being saved. Without exception We punished those who thrived on the fruit of others' toil. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation When the messengers had despaired and thought that they had been denied, there came to them Our help and who We willed was delivered. And when such an occasion comes We rescue whom We will; as for the guilty, Our chastisement cannot be averted from them. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Our Messengers O Muhammad do face hardships and difficulties, adversities and distresses to the extent that they give up hope of their followers' constancy and begin to think that they take them for impostors. There and then the turning point is reached and Our help comes in good time. We deliver whom We will and punish whom We will and never is Our retributive punishment averted from those who grow daily more and more wicked. ### Bijan Moeinian The previous Prophets went on spreading My Words for the longest time till they became disappointed. When they were treated as liar, My help reached them; I saved whoever I had decided and the punishment of the guilty people was unavoidable. ### Al-Hilali & Khan (They were reprieved) until, when the Messengers gave up hope and thought that they were denied (by their people), then came to them Our Help, and whomsoever We willed were rescued. And Our punishment cannot be warded off from the people who are Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers, polytheists). ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali (Respite will be granted) until, when the messengers give up hope (of their people) and (come to) think that they were treated as liars, there reaches them Our help, and those whom We will are delivered into safety. We then saved whoever We willed, and Our punishment is never averted from the wicked people. ### Taqi Usmani (Punishment was often delayed) until when the messengers were in despair and thought that they were wrong in their estimation, Our help came to them, then saved were those whom We willed. Suçlular topluluğundan ise azabımız geri çevrilmez! ### Gültekin Onan Öyle ki elçiler, umutlarını kesip de, artık onların gerçekten yalanladıklarını sandıkları bir sırada onlara yardımımız gelmiştir; biz kimi dilersek o kurtulmuştur. Suçlu, günahkarlar topluluğundan azabımız kesin olarak geri çevrilmeyecektir. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Hatta o peygamberler (kavmlerinin imanından) ümidlerini kesib de onların (va'd edildikleri nusret-i ilahiyye hususunda) muhakkak yalana çıkarıldıklarını zannetdikleri sırada onlara nusretimiz yetişib gelmiş, biz kimi dilersek o (ya'ni peygamberler ve tabileri) kurtuluşa erdirilmişdir. Günahkarlar güruhundan ise azabımız asla döndürülmeyecekdir. ### İbni Kesir Nihayet o Peygamber ümitsizliğe düşüp kesinlikle yalanladıklarını sandıkları sırada, onlara yardımımız gelmiştir. Böylece dilediğimiz kurtarılmıştır. Suçlular güruhundan ise baskınımız asla geri çevrilmeyecektir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı (Önceki elçilerimizin hepsi uzun süre zulüm ve baskıya uğramışlardır;) nihayet bu elçiler neredeyse bütün ümitlerini kaybettikleri ve büsbütün yalancılıkla damgalandıklarını gördükleri bir sırada Bizim yardımımız kendilerine ulaşmıştır; ve böylece dilediğimizi kurtarmışızdır (hakkı inkar edenleri ise yok etmişizdir): çünkü azabımız günaha gömülüp gitmiş insanlardan asla geri çevrilemez. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Peygamberler ümitsizliğe düşüp, yalanlandıklarını gördükleri bir anda kendilerine yardımımız gelmiştir. Azabımız suçlular topluluğundan asla geri çevrilmez. ### Yaşar Nuri Öztürk — Kur'an-ı Kerim Meali Ne zaman ki resuller ümitsizliğe düşüp yalanlandıkları kanısına vardılar, işte o zaman yardımımız kendilerine ulaştı da dilediklerimiz kurtarıldı.
