Onun için doğru davrananın içi rahat, yanlış davrananın içi de sıkıntılı olur ([Şems 91/7](https://quran.so/91/7)-[10](https://quran.so/91/10)). Buna göre şae (شاء) fiilinin öznesi Allah olursa "gerekeni yaptı veya yarattı", insan olursa "gerekeni yaptı" anlamında olur. Allah insanlara, tercihlerine göre davranma hürriyeti vermeseydi hiç kimse yanlış bir şey yapamaz ve imtihan diye bir şey de olmazdı ([Nahl 16/93](https://quran.so/16/93)). Yanlış kader anlayışını imanın bir esası gibi İslam'a yerleştirmek isteyenler, büyük bir çarpıtma yaparak şae (شاء) fiiline irade yani isteme ve dileme anlamı vermiş; bunu, tefsirlere hatta sözlüklere bile yerleştirerek birçok ayetin mealini bozmuşlardır.
