Surah Saba (Sheba) — سورة سَبَأ - **Verse:** 38 / 54 · **Juz:** 22 · **Mushaf page:** 431 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-saba/verse-38 ## Arabic وَالَّذ۪ينَ يَسْعَوْنَ ف۪ٓي اٰيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِز۪ينَ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ ## Transcription Wallatheena yasAAawna fee ayatinamuAAajizeena ola-ika fee alAAathabi muhdaroon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley But people who strive against Our Signs, trying to nullify them, such people will be summoned to the punishment. ### Progressive Muslims As for those who strive against Our revelations, they will be brought to the retribution. ### Shabbir Ahmed Whereas those who strive against Our Revelations trying to make them ineffective, will be given over to retribution. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And those who strive to frustrate Our proofs: those will be summoned to the punishment. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation As for those who sought against Our revelations, they will be brought to the retribution. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament As for those who consistently challenge our revelations, they will abide in retribution. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira But those who try to subvert Our signs will be given over to punishment ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And the ones who strive against Our verses to cause [them] failure - those will be brought into the punishment [to remain]. ### Muhammad Asad whereas all who strive against Our messages, seeking to defeat their purpose, shall be given over to suffering. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And as for those who strive against Our revelations, challenging, they will be brought to the doom. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary As for those who work against Our Signs so as to frustrate them, they shall be arraigned into the chastisement. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And those who strive to oppose Our authoritative signs and invalidate Our divine revelations shall be consigned to the torment laid upon the damned. ### Bijan Moeinian As for those who consistently challenge God’s revelation, they will end up in an everlasting torture. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And those who strive against Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, they will be brought to the torment. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them, will be given over into Punishment. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran As for those who strive to discredit Our revelations, it is they who will be confined in punishment. ### Taqi Usmani As for those who strive against our signs trying to frustrate (them), they will be arraigned into the torment. ### Abdul Haleem whereas those who work against Our messages, seeking to undermine them, will be summoned to punishment.’ ### Arthur John Arberry And those who strive against Our signs to void them -- those shall be arraigned into the chastisement. ### E.
