Surah Muhammad (Muhammad) — سورة محمد - **Verse:** 34 / 38 · **Juz:** 26 · **Mushaf page:** 509 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-muhammad/verse-34 ## Arabic اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَهُمْ ## Transcription Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddooAAan sabeeli Allahi thumma matoo wahum kuffarunfalan yaghfira Allahu lahum ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Those who are kafir and obstruct the Way of Allah, and then die kafir, Allah will not forgive them. ### Progressive Muslims Surely, those who rejected and repelled from the path of God, then they died while still rejecting, God will never forgive them. ### Shabbir Ahmed Verily, those who deny the Message and hinder the Path of Allah, and then die as disbelievers, Allah will not grant them the protection of forgiveness. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Those who ignore warning and turn away from the path of God then die as atheists: God will not pardon them. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation Surely, those who rejected and repelled from the path of God, then they died while still rejecting, God will never forgive them. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Those who disbelieve and repel from the path of GOD, then die as disbelievers, GOD will never forgive them. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Those who do not believe and obstruct others from the way of God, and die disbelieving, will not be pardoned by God. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers - never will Allah forgive them. ### Muhammad Asad Verily, as for those who are bent on denying the truth and on barring [others] from the path of God, and then die as deniers of the truth - indeed, God will not grant them forgiveness! ### Marmaduke Pickthall Lo! those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah and then die disbelievers, Allah surely will not pardon them. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Verily Allah shall not forgive those who disbelieved and barred others from Allah's Way and clung to their unbelief until their death. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Indeed, those who have renounced Faith and prevented Allah's spirit of truth from guiding people into all truth and they died captivated in disbelief, never will Allah forgive them nor quit them His debt. ### Bijan Moeinian As for those who choose the disbelief, prevent the others [physically, verbally or psychologically] to follow the way of God and die in the state of disbelief, God will never forgive them. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh (i.e. Islâm); then die while they are disbelievers - Allâh will not forgive them.[1] ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Those who reject Allah, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, then die rejecting Allah,- Allah will not forgive them. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Surely those who disbelieve, hinder ˹others˺ from the Way of Allah, and then die as disbelievers; Allah will never forgive them. ### Taqi Usmani Those who disbelieved and prevented (others) from Allah’s way, then died as disbelievers, Allah will never forgive them. ### Abdul Haleem God will not forgive those who disbelieve, bar others from God’s path, and die as disbelievers. ### Arthur John Arberry Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way and then die disbelieving, them God will not forgive. ### E.
