Surah Muhammad (Muhammad) — سورة محمد - **Verse:** 31 / 38 · **Juz:** 26 · **Mushaf page:** 509 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-muhammad/verse-31 ## Arabic وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتّٰى نَعْلَمَ الْمُجَاهِد۪ينَ مِنْكُمْ وَالصَّابِر۪ينَۙ وَنَبْلُوَ۬ا اَخْبَارَكُمْ ## Transcription Walanabluwannakum hattanaAAlama almujahideena minkum wassabireenawanabluwa akhbarakum ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We will test you until We know the true fighters among you and those who are steadfast and test what is reported of you. ### Progressive Muslims And We will test you until We know those who strive among you and those who are patient. And We will bring out your qualities. ### Shabbir Ahmed And verily We shall try you all in order to distinguish the valiant among you and the steadfast. And We shall put your reputation to test. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And We will test you until We know the strivers among you, and the patient; and We will test your assertions. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And We will test you for We know those who strive among you and those who are patient. We must expose your true qualities. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira We shall try you in order to know who are the fighters among you, and who are men of fortitude, and verify your histories. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah ] and the patient, and We will test your affairs. ### Muhammad Asad and most certainly We shall try you all, so that We might mark out those of you who strive hard [in Our cause] and are patient in adversity: for We shall put to a test [the truth of] all your assertions. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And verily We shall try you till We know those of you who strive hard (for the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till We test your record. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary We shall certainly test you until We know those of you who truly strive and remain steadfast, and will ascertain about you. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab In fact, We will most certainly try you people to distinguish you into those who consider Allah's purpose the heart of their purpose and strive patiently in His cause, and those who are not moved to action; and to ascertain your spirit and your worth when you engage in the practical test of actual experience. ### Bijan Moeinian I will certainly put you to the test so that you may have an opportunity to show your real selves; so that you show your patience and struggle in the way of God. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allâh) and As-Sâbirûn (the patient), and We shall test your facts (i.e. the one who is a liar, and the one who is truthful). ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And We shall try you until We test those among you who strive their utmost and persevere in patience; and We shall try your reported (mettle). ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran We will certainly test you ˹believers˺ until We prove those of you who ˹truly˺ struggle ˹in Allah’s cause˺ and remain steadfast, and reveal how you conduct yourselves. ### Taqi Usmani And We will certainly test you until We know those of you who carry out Jihād (struggle in Allah’s way) and observe patience, and until We check your episodes. ### Abdul Haleem We shall test you to see which of you strive your hardest and are steadfast; We shall test the sincerity of your assertions. ### Arthur John Arberry And We shall assuredly try you until We know those of you who struggle and are steadfast, and try your tidings. ### E.
