ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَوْلَى الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَاَنَّ الْكَافِر۪ينَ لَا مَوْلٰى لَهُمْ۟

## Transcription

Thalika bi-anna Allaha mawlaallatheena amanoo waanna alkafireena lamawla lahum

## Translations

### Aisha Bewley

That is because Allah is the Protector of those who have iman and because those who are kafir have no protector.

This is because God is the Master for those who believe, while the disbelievers have no master.

Thereupon the Prophet (peace be upon him) told his companions to respond, saying: Our Protector and helper is Allah, and you have no protector and helper at all. This reply of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was derived from this very verse.
