Surah Maryam (Mary) — سورة مريم - **Verse:** 50 / 98 · **Juz:** 16 · **Mushaf page:** 307 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-maryam/verse-50 ## Arabic وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِياًّ۟ ## Transcription Wawahabna lahum min rahmatinawajaAAalna lahum lisana sidqin AAaliyya ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We endowed them with Our mercy and made them highly honoured. ### Progressive Muslims And We granted them from Our mercy, and We made for them a tongue of truth to be heard. ### Shabbir Ahmed We showered them with Our Grace and We granted them a high and true renown. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And We gave to them of Our mercy, and We made for them a tongue of truthfulness exalted. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And We granted them from Our mercy, and We made for them a tongue of truthfulness to be heard. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament We showered them with our mercy, and we granted them an honorable position in history. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira And bestowed on them some of Our blessings, and gave them high renown. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor. ### Muhammad Asad and We bestowed upon them [manifold] gifts out of Our grace, and granted them a lofty power to convey the truth [unto others]. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary and We bestowed on them Our mercy, and granted them a truly lofty renown.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] This is to give comfort to the migrants who had been forced to migrate from their homes.
