Surah Maryam (Mary) — سورة مريم - **Verse:** 49 / 98 · **Juz:** 16 · **Mushaf page:** 307 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-maryam/verse-49 ## Arabic فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِۙ وَهَبْنَا لَـهُٓ اِسْحٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَۜ وَكُلاًّ جَعَلْنَا نَبِياًّ ## Transcription Falamma iAAtazalahum wamayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba wakullan jaAAalna nabiyya ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley When he had separated himself from them, and what they worshipped besides Allah, We gave him Ishaq and Ya‘qub, making each of them a Prophet. ### Progressive Muslims So when he abandoned them and what they serve besides God, We granted him Isaac and Jacob, and We made each a prophet. ### Shabbir Ahmed So, when he abandoned them and their deities besides Allah, We bestowed upon him with a son Isaac and a grandson Jacob.
