Surah Luqman (Luqman) — سورة لقمان - **Verse:** 23 / 34 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 412 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-luqman/verse-23 ## Arabic وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنْكَ كُفْرُهُ ۜ اِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُواۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَل۪يمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ ## Transcription Waman kafara fala yahzunkakufruhu ilayna marjiAAuhum fanunabbi-ohum bimaAAamiloo inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati assudoor ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley And do not let the kufr of those who are kafir sadden you. They will return to Us and We will inform them about the things they did. Allah knows what the heart contains. ### Progressive Muslims And whosoever rejects, then do not be saddened by his rejection. To Us is their ultimate return, then We will inform them of what they had done. God is fully aware of what is inside the chests. ### Shabbir Ahmed And let not the disbelief of the rejecters grieve you. To Us is their return, and then We shall explain to them all they truly accomplished. Verily, Allah is Knower of what is in the hearts. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And whoso denies: let not his denial grieve thee; unto Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did; God knows what is in the breasts. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And whoever rejects, then do not be saddened by his rejection. To us is their ultimate return, then we will inform them of everything they had done. GOD is fully aware of the innermost thoughts. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira So do not let the unbelief of disbelievers grieve you. They will be brought back to Us, when We shall tell them what they used to do. Whatever is in their hearts is known to God. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts. ### Muhammad Asad But as for him who is bent on denying the truth - let not his denial grieve thee: unto Us they must return, and then We shall make them [truly] understand all that they were doing [in life]: for, verily, God has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men]. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And whosoever disbelieveth, let not his disbelief afflict thee (O Muhammad). Unto Us is their return, and We shall tell them what they did. Lo! Allah is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men). ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary So let the unbelief of the unbeliever not grieve you.[1] To Us is their return and then We shall inform them of all that they did. Surely Allah knows well even the secrets that are hidden in the breasts (of people). _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, "Thank God that you at least know this and believe in this. But if this be the reality, all praise should then belong to Allah alone. How can any other being deserve praise when it has no share whatever in the creation of the universe?" ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And he who denies Allah O Muhammad and disobeys His statutes shall have much to answer for; let not his infidelity affect you with grief and deep sorrow. To Us shall they return when We inform them of all that they had done and/or left undone. Allah is indeed 'Alimun (Omniscient) of all private thoughts and feelings that are reposited in the bosoms. ### Bijan Moeinian As for the one who denies God, let not his disbelief bother you. All disbelievers have to meet their Lord eventually. Then I will play back their deeds for them [so that they see and be ashamed of what they were doing.] God knows everyone’s secrets. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And whoever disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). To Us is their return, and We shall inform them what they have done. Verily, Allâh is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali But if any reject Faith, let not his rejection grieve thee: to Us is their return, and We shall tell them the truth of their deeds: for Allah knows well all that is in (men's) hearts. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran But whoever disbelieves, do not let their disbelief grieve you ˹O Prophet˺. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of all they did. Surely Allah knows best what is ˹hidden˺ in the heart. ### Taqi Usmani And whoever disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you. Surely, Allah is All Aware of what lies in the hearts. ### Abdul Haleem As for those who refuse to do this, do not let their refusal sadden you [Prophet]- they will return to Us and We shall tell them what they have done: God knows all that hearts contain- ### Arthur John Arberry And whoso disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve thee; unto Us they shall return, and We shall tell them what they did. Aziz But he who Surrenders his purpose unto Allah (i. e. becomes a Muslim), and does good, he has grasped the firm handle; with Allah rests the issue of all affairs. ### Mahmoud Ghali And whoever disbelieves, do not let his disbelief grieve you; to Us will be their return; then We will fully inform them of what they did. Surely Allah is Ever-Knowing of the (inmost thoughts) within the breasts (Literally: what the breasts own). ### George Sale But whoever shall be an unbeliever, let not his unbelief grieve thee: Unto Us shall they return; then will We declare unto them that which they have done, for God knoweth the innermost parts of the breasts of men. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed And if anyone disbelieves (and rejects Faith), let not his rejection make you sad: All of them return to Us, and We shall tell them the truth of their actions: Verily, Allah is All Knowing (Aleem) of what is in their breasts (hearts). ### Amatul Rahman Omar And as for him who disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return (in the long run); We shall inform them all that they did. Onlar dönüp Bize gelecekler, o zaman Biz onlara bütün yaptıklarını haber vereceğiz. Muhakkak Allah bütün sinelerin neler sakladığını bilir. ### Gültekin Onan Kim de küfrederse, artık onun küfrü seni hüzne kaptırmasın. Onların dönüşü bizedir, artık biz de onlara yaptıklarını haber vereceğiz. Şüphesiz Tanrı, sinelerin özünde saklı olanı bilendir. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Kim küfrederse (Habibim) onun küfrü sana hüzün vermesin. Onların dönüşü ancak bizedir. Biz de (o zaman) onların neler yapdıklarını haber veririz. Şübhe yok ki Allah sinelerde gizli olan şeyleri bile hakkıyle bilendir. ### İbni Kesir Kim de küfrederse; onun küfrü, seni üzmesin. Onların dönüşü Bize'dir. O zaman yaptıklarını onlara bildiririz. Şüphesiz ki Allah; göğüslerin özünü gerçekten bilendir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Hakikati inkara şartlanmış olana gelince, onun inkarı seni üzmesin: onlar sonunda Bize dönecekler ve o zaman, (hayatta iken) yaptıklarının (gerçekte) ne olduğunu onlara göstereceğiz: çünkü Allah, (insanların) kalplerindekini en iyi bilendir. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı Kim de inkar ederse, onun inkarı seni üzmesin.
