Surah Hud (Hud) — سورة هود - **Verse:** 47 / 123 · **Juz:** 12 · **Mushaf page:** 226 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-hud/verse-47 ## Arabic قَالَ رَبِّ اِنّ۪ٓي اَعُوذُ بِكَ اَنْ اَسْـَٔلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ ل۪ي بِه۪ عِلْمٌۜ وَاِلَّا تَغْفِرْ ل۪ي وَتَرْحَمْن۪ٓي اَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِر۪ينَ ## Transcription Qala rabbi innee aAAoothu bikaan as-alaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wa-illataghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He said, ‘My Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You for anything about which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be among the lost.’ ### Progressive Muslims He said: "My Lord, I seek refuge with You that I would ask You what I did not have knowledge of. I take refuge with You that I should ask you for that concerning which I have no knowledge.
