Surah Ghafir (The Forgiver) — سورة غافر - **Verse:** 63 / 85 · **Juz:** 24 · **Mushaf page:** 473 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-ghafir/verse-63 ## Arabic كَذٰلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذ۪ينَ كَانُوا بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ يَجْحَدُونَ ## Transcription Kathalika yu/faku allatheena kanoobi-ayati Allahi yajhadoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley That is how those who deny Allah’s Signs have been perverted. ### Progressive Muslims Thus, those who used to deny God's Revelations were deviated. ### Shabbir Ahmed Thus it is - Wandering indeed are those who contend with the Messages of Allah. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Thus are deluded those who reject the proofs of God. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation Thus, those who were denying the revelations of God were deviated. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Deviating are those who disregard GOD's revelations. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Only they are turned away thus who deny the signs of God. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allah. ### Muhammad Asad [For] thus it is: perverted are the minds of those who knowingly reject God’s messages. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Thus are they perverted who deny the revelations of Allah. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Thus it is only those who had denied Allah's Signs that were led astray.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, in every age the common people have been deluded by the misguides only because the people did not believe in the revelations that Allah sent down through His Messengers to make them understand the truth.
