Surah Fussilat (Explained in detail) — سورة فصلت - **Verse:** 51 / 54 · **Juz:** 25 · **Mushaf page:** 481 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-fussilat/verse-51 ## Arabic وَاِذَٓا اَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ اَعْرَضَ وَنَاٰ بِجَانِبِه۪ۚ وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَٓاءٍ عَر۪يضٍ ## Transcription Wa-itha anAAamna AAalaal-insani aAArada wanaa bijanibihiwa-itha massahu ashsharru fathoo duAAa-inAAareed ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley When We grant blessing to a man, he turns away and draws aside but when any evil touches him, he is full of endless prayers! ### Progressive Muslims And when We bless the human being, he withdraws and turns away, and when he suffers any adversity, he implores in long prayers! ### Shabbir Ahmed Also, when We bestow Bliss on man, he turns away, and withdraws aside, but when a hurt touches him, then he is full of prayers.
